Hi Wendy, sorry your friend blew you off. Wow, with friends like that who needs enemies. How was your FD weekend? Ours was nice. Stayed at home and made blueberry pancakes for breakfast yesterday then grilled out burgers and hotdogs for supper. Hubby got our mower fixed finally and cut grass all day. Sure looks better out there too. The pool water has warmed up to a more comfortable temp but we have rain on the way so it will cool off again I expect. Hope the new week is good to you. Good Morning dear friend. Sure enjoyed reading about your trip to the beach. I bet it's lovely up there. Glad you only splashed your feet as there seems to be plenty of sharks along the NC coast recently according to the news. Saw a report last night of a beautiful young girl attacked while swimming. Her dad was a former Marine and ran out to help and punched the shark in the face. I thought that was funny though I'm sure it was a terrifying experience for them. She survived the attack but the shark got one of her limbs. Can't remember which now. Nothing much going on here. Catching up on some laundry. Tomorrow we'll grill out burgers and hotdogs too. Sounds like the standard Father's Day meal I guess. We swam in out pool yesterday and boy that water was cold after a week of clouds and rain! Today hubby is fixing our riding mower. It's always something with a lawn mower. I better run as my laptop battery is nearly dead. So good to hear from you. Happy weekend!
I have been enjoying the out of doors for most of the day and I truly do need another cup of coffee. Flowers are blooming more and more all over the yard plus the rose bushes. What a breathtaking site to see. I so do enjoy all the four seasons and all of its beauty.
Hi Wendy, I'm anxious to get some sweet corn too and some yellow squash. My neighbor has you-pick blueberries for sale. I need to get some of those too before they're gone. They peak in mid July or so. We've had rain too, every day since last weekend. Sure was glad to see the sunshine today and to be able to hang out some clothes to dry. Hi Wendy, hope you had a good weekend. We have had soggy weather for the last 5 days here and more on the way from what they say. Father's Day is next Sunday. You probably realized that by now. lol. I haven't been on the Hill much. I've been busy with my granddaughter. My friend brought me fresh veggies over the weekend and I fried some of the zuchhini last night. Hope the new week ahead is good for you.
Hi Wendy, we are needing rain too and we are finally getting it. I can't complain at all as our grass was starting to be brown and crunchy it had been so dry. I haven't been on the Hill much this wee as I've had a busy week with Abby shopping and stuff. Your blueberry pie sure sounds good. I made a good cobbler from berries (we call them Doobies here) The shootings in VA were sad to hear about. Our world is so crazy anymore. Nothing much going on here, going to pick up a few things in a bit. Maybe we can venture out between showers. Tomorrow is a girls luncheon with friends so looking forward to that.
