Hi Wendy, so hot here it feels more like July or August. Hubby is getting the pool filled up today, thankfully. We picked our granddaughter yesterday for her Summer visit. We usually grill out for the holiday but it's so hot I made dinner inside last night (chicken and yellow rice) without warming up the oven so will have leftovers today. Your Memorial Day plans sounds like fun. Enjoy your day!
Hey pal, nice to hear from you. Steak sandwich sounds yummy. We are so hot here already and Summer is not officially here till next month. I agree, getting old is rough but hey at least we're still here. Hubby can't hear and I can't see worth a crap so we are quite a pair. I bet I will fail the next eye test I have for driver licenses. Nothing much going on here...the guy finished up the gutter outside yesterday so onward and upward now. We'll get the pool up this weekend hopefully and I shall be happy to cool off in the cold water. It takes 4 to 5 days of consecutive sunshine and warm temps to warm it up to a more comfortable temp but I don't think anyone will complain with temps forecasted to be near 100 for our holiday weekend. Speaking of which I need to probably get to the store to get something for the grill. Talk to you soon and hope your Memorial Day weekend is wonderful. love, Beth
Good Morning Wendy, sounds like you had a hot weekend just like we did. Poor hubby was mowing out in the heat most of the day Sunday. Today we are having some gutter hung on our pole barn. Hopefully the pool will go up soon. It's an above ground pool. Big enough to cool off in anyway. It's 4 feet deep. I don't want it any deeper since I have little ones visiting here and it could be dangerous. They can all touch the bottom now so that makes me feel better. I'm breaking out all my patriotic pretties for the yard and the house since it's that time of year. We are in for a scorcher for Memorial Day weekend I hear. Wish I was going to the beach except it's so crowded for holidays. Hope your day is good! love, Beth
Hi Wendy, I did leave you a comment earlier this week. Hope you found it by now. I wouldn't forget about my friend! Yes, I shared the chicken fajita recipe with you. It is a good one for sure. I've gotten to where I just serve the chicken mixture over mexican rice instead of using tortillas. Hubby is a big rice fan so that's probably why. We are warming up a lot here. It's to be upper 90's by late next week. Ugh!! I'm not ready for that. Also I can say is hubby better get the pool filled up with some cool water cause we're going to need it.
