Here we are again, Monday. What shall we do this week? Water the yard and the plants again every day in front one day and in back the next day.
I can see out the window two of the hummingbird feeders. I see hummingbirds drinking and chasing each other around. Oh maybe I will go sit and watch them this morning.
But the sun is already shining too bright and the heat is already too hot to sit for very long even on the patio. Where is that North wind to cool us off?
So the next best thing is to find a dark and quiet spot to read a good book.
I think a steaming cup of coffee would be the best way to start this Monday off right.
Then find a steamy good book to read and the week is off on the right foot.
And hope the yard can make it one more day. I'll just give thanks for the beautiful sky above it.

I had such delicious strawberries this past spring. My plants look like they won't ever come back after this summer's high temperatures.
I just got this in an email, can you believe that we used more AC last year? Well, we did turn the thermostat warmer a couple of degrees. However, my water bill that just came was triple or more this year than last year.
However, after the summer we have had, we will be grateful for the lower temperatures and rain when it comes.

Today is Sunday here will going to the church , but our Pastor message all members our Church fellowship will posponed because of the heavy rains and strong winds due to the typhoon that coming to our country. I stay at home , reading and watching the movies in Netflix with my family. Enjoy shoppimg but be safe.
Hello Pal, your lunch sure sounded good. Made me hungry! I have been in the mood for seafood lately. At least Rich's doctor still saw him when he was late. My docor has a 10 minute grace period and if you're later than that they make you reschedule. Pretty ridiculous too as long as they make me wait once I'm there! This week has been a blur, sure have been conerned for my sister's family. They are lost without her, esp her hubby of 56 years. They are coping as best they can. We have our eyes on the storm out in the gulf. If it just brings some rain I'll be happy, but don't need any wind or rough weather off of it. Wendy, we don't have central air conditoner. We just have a window unit in the living room and then fans moving the air to other rooms. It doesn't do any good to run the air conditioner 24/7 cause at a certain time of the evening it just doesn't cool much. We open windows to let the cooler air in. It isn't to bad, and if it is, I go sleep on the couch where the air is cooler. We are supposed to get cooler air coming this Sunday with a chance of rain. So I'm looking forward to that. The weather here has been so nice thes last couple of days - it's been in the low 80's and no humidity with a good breeze yesterday and again today. We run our AC 24/7 as turnng it off only heats everything up and then it cost more energy to cool them down again. It's better to keep it running - your hubby might think it will cost less money by turning it off, but it won't. Check with your local electric company. I might be wrong, but this is what our electric company puts out. Anyway I hope yoou get a break in the weather and things cool down for you soon. I have been in the house all day and only made the bed (do it everyth morning) folded a ton of whites and made dinner of chicken cutlets, gravy, fresh sliced tomatoes and corn on the cob. Such a good meal and one I like to have all summer long, swapping the chicken out for a steak. Hope you are able to sleep with just a fan in your kind of heat. I know it would be very hard for me to sleep when it's so hot in the room. Have a good nite and sleep well. Hugs, Wendy
Hello Pal, yes I changed my background, took off the sunflower background. Sounds like it's been very hot up your way too. It's been horriible here. I sure hope we get some rain or at least some clouds and cooler temps off that tropical system that's pointed at the gulf. I hope it doesn't develop in to a bad storm for anyone but I wouldn't mind some rain off it. Had a busy morning today with lots of errands. I'm glad to be back home in the AC. This whole week has been a blur, dealing with lots of grief still. Keep those prayers coming. Have a good weekend!
