We had a cool front and dropped temperatures about 10°. So this morning we are 74 instead of 81. We will have 2 days in the 90's. Friday we are supposed to be back to 107-108 range with higher heat indexes but hopefully only one day that high. We still haven't had any rain but cooler temperatures and rain will come soon for all of Texas. Gotta get ready for last day at work. Love Ya!

We got some of your weather today - it was 95 - 98 with a heat index of over 105. It had to go for blood work and then I went tothe post office to mail my granddaughter a late birthday card. it was one that I had made and knew she would love it. It only had a little plastic peice on it and it cost $1.40 as he said it was over the weight. I wanted it hand stamped and not to go thru the machine so it would tear up the design. That's just nuts to charge that. Friday I went and mailed out another homemade card and wanted it hand stamped and they charged me either 40 or 60 cents extra just to stamp it in red. Now that was way crazy. Hope you're making out ok with the heat in your area - at least we are getting a break for two days - going down to 86. Only a couple more days of work - sure hope this new person works out this time. Take care and keep cool. Hugs, Wendy
Good afternoon to you. Its a nice cool day here. But only for today, then tomorrow is back into the 90's. We had a cool front come through last night. Got a little rain and enjoying the cool air today. Sorry about me bragging about the cooler temperature. Enjoy the rest of your day and evening my friend. Take care, Hugs, Cheryl
Yes, I always smile when I read your posts and think of you. Thank you so much for being there for me. You are a good friend!

It's a hot one for sure here so I imagine it's even hotter in Texas. We'll be hitting 100 with heat index of about 110. I'm not going out at all in this heat except to go to the car when we leave to go play dominoes. Glad you only have a couple more days of work Pam, as I know you are looking forward to a nice rest period and to be home more often expeially to spend more time with the family. Have a great Sunday and stay cool. Hugs, Wendy
Sunday morning blessings to you! A new week is starting for us and I only work 2 days then Jody will be Kelly's full time Business Office Assistant.
Gosh how I will miss talking to our clients each day and I'll miss Kelly a lot too. But I will let it all go until they call me to come in when Jody needs a vacation day to visit her family.
I will still be singing out loud the happiest tune I can find each and every day.
I will have a new voice and a new song to be sung. Oh my, why are people around me covering their ears?
Just because I am singing my heart out and sharing it with the world around me. A new chapter is starting again.
Good Caturday Morning to you! I am peeking in to see what you are doing today! I am watering, imagine that!
The plants are so wilted that there are very few blooms to even smell. We have been 104°-107° with heat indexes above 115°. We no longer have a green yard; it is yellow and the grass is almost dead.
It is best just to stay inside with the air conditioner and just glance outside through the window. Then pull the shades down again.
Don't open the window! The heat will come in and no telling who else! Maybe some nosey neighbor.
Have you seen that new guy with the blue eyes that moved into our neighborhood last week? I think his name is Gus!
I heard him call me a peeping tom just yesterday! Can you imagine? Doesn't he know who he is talking to?
