Hi there. Just wanting to answer your questions. On the pellets, this is the answer I got from when I goggled it. Hope you can understand it. Pellets are compounded estradiol or testosterone that are made from organic plant materials which have the exact molecular structure of those hormones found in the body. They are pressed into a solid compound that is about the size of a cooked grain of rice. And the reason why I get this is it helps me with my hormones since I have had a hysterectomy. I had both of my overies removed before I had my hysterectomy. So this helps with the hot flashes, night sweats and everything else that happens when you go straight into menopause. Hope this helps you understand why I get this done. It helps a lot. Its expensive. Your insurance doesn't pay for it. It costs $350 dollars. But I say its worth the cost and you go to a specialists to get it done. Now on to other things, its a hot day here. Already in the 90's. Almost 100*. I sure hope August isn't as bad as the last few weeks of July has been. Take care Wendy and enjoy your afternoon. Hugs, Cheryl
Thanks for the explanation Cheryl but why do you have to go thru all this? I don't understand what the pellets are for. It was a nice break in the weather today - was 83 and no humidity. Was a lazy day untill we got ready to go play dominos. It was her turn to cook and she made suffed cabages which were good, and had a cheddar bay biscuit to go with it. I came in second and Rich was last. Can you believe today is the last day of July? I know August will be another hot month. I just wish I was home so I could enjoy a couple of swims in the ocean and lay n the beach. It's been years since I have been able to do that and I'm not getting any younger! Have a good start to the new week and enjoy. Hugs, Wendy
My goodness this day just started and it is now going into the afternoon. The Laundry is done and went to the store for groceries. Now it is time to have a nice cup of coffee as I sit back and find that book that I am reading. May you have a peaceful week enjoying your moments . Smiles Gloria
I love old poems, ladies who lived in past times. Life was maybe not easier, but people took time to idle sometime, and mostly they took time admiring a sunrise, the flowers opening their hearts, etc. ~Marie-Ancolie Romanet #oldsoul
I just re read what I wrote to you and half of it is gone. I don't know what happened but I am going to tell you again how the procedure is done. I get it done every 3 months and on a different hip each time. First the doctor gives me a shot in the hip to make it numb. Then he opens up a small area to put the small pellets, I forget how many he puts in there, then he covers it up with something like a sterestrip, or a small piece of tape and then he covers it up with some guaze and a big sticky round thing. And then I'm done. When the numbness goes away it is tender and I can't sleep on that side. Then in the evening I can take the big sticky round thing off and just leave the small piece of tape on for about 5 days. I hope this will make more since then the other comment. Cheryl
Hi there. I just read your comment and I don't mind telling you about it. I get it done every 3 months. The doctor first sticks me with a shot that makes the area on my hip Then he covers it with a sticky piece of tape and another pick sticky thing. I can't think of what they are called and then its done. I leave the big sticky thing on until that evening when I take it off. And the other smaller piece of tape stays on there for about 5 days. Sometimes it comes off and I have to put a bandaid on there. It gets sore and itchy, but its just healing. Each time I go get it done its on the other hip. And every other time I go I have to go back in the 6 weeks to get blood work done. It isn't complicated and its just tender for a few days. I hope you can understand what I wrote. Its hot here today. But at least it isn't humid. Enjoy the rest of your afternoon. Take care. Cheryl
It was a very hot day here and humid too. It's only going to get worse as the week goess on with the feel like temps reaching 106 on Sat. Sun. a cool front is coming thru and it'll drop to 84. I hope you have awonderful trip and sorry you won't be able to get to see your daughter. I know you go to get your hormone therapy, but I've never heard of what you get. If I'm not being too nosy, can you explain it? I have been on an Estrogen patch since I was in my 40's . Yes, August is a hot month but so is July. I was married July 20th 1968 and it had to be in the 90's that day. I about wilted as there was no such thing as air conditioning in a church in those days. I swept the kitchen floor then mopped it and also the dining room and powder room and our bathroom. I vacuumed the living room and will do the bedroom tomorrow. Those are the only two carpeted rooms. I have a load of clothes to wash tomorrow and I might dust too. Then I think the house will be done till another day. I also need to clean the hall bath since our new shower is in and done. I was the first one to take a shower in it tonite! So much more room and it's in the same space as the old one. Bath fitters did a good job. Have a good tomorrow and stay inside Cheryl where it's cool. Hugs, Wendy
Hope you had a good Saturday Jacobo. Ours was a busy one shopping at Sam's club that was more than an hour away then went to a second location to get a few things that weren't at the first. Also went to Tractor Supply to get things for the dog - food, treats etc. Have a peaceful nite and congrats on being a featured member! Hugs, Wendy
I hope your Sunday is a blessing and not scorching hot. Sprinklers are going non stop here.
Wendy shared a picture with us and I told her that it is more peaceful at her place than it is in our backyard. It is wonderful to see the new babies.
Another friend shared a picture of her son swimming with a dolphin in Cabo. He has lots of swimming medals from earlier in school but what a blessing this must be for him and his girlfriend as she swam with a dolphin too.
My friend in Lubbock is getting a new Standard Poodle puppy soon. She wants her dog to teach her niece how to be a Perfect lady. What a blessing!
Of course, I couldn't leave without sharing our blessings to have wonderful neighbors. We have watched Bennett grow up and now Livvy is 2. They both loved the Ice Cream Cart we gave her. She couldn't wait to lick the Ice Cream. Be sure to count your blessings every day!
Oh my, do the flowers dry out fast with day after day of over 100° weather. I hope the flowers have some scent left on this hot, dry Saturday.
This is the view each night in our backyard from 9 pm to 11 pm. The laser lights are set on an app timer to turn on and off each night. A couple of days after I first set it up, our neighbor sent Rbt a picture/video and asked him if he knew strange things were going on in our yard.
When you look off to the side of the tree, it looks like fireflies in the dark sky. It is very peaceful sitting on the patio and I can't wait for it to get cooler so I can sit out there longer.
You know you are invited to come on over and sit with us anytime day or night. After all, time is flying by so fast. Say goodbye to July and to our younger days!
Hello, friend, have a great Saturday. have fun to your liking and never lose your illusions, and your smile, I wish you, the best for yourweekend, full of peace, and happiness, take care, hugs, Maria
