Hi there. We got almost 3 inches of rain last night. Now its kind of humid but only in the 70's. Went and saw our son, Trey and his girlfriend this morning. Ate lunch with them, then came back home. Hello Pal, been miserably hot here with triple digit heat indexes. The AC unit is working overtime and all the fans are going too. If I had a pool, I would be in it, I can tell you that! My little sunflowers are doing well, popping up so quickly after I planted them. They don't seem fazed by the heat as long as I water them. No big plans for the BD weekend, might go out to eat later on the weekend. My sister in law is leaving for a 2 week trip to Alaska today. Wish I was going too! Oh well, maybe one day and I'm thinking a cruise would be nice. I got all the stuff to make a lemon dream cake to share with my twin. Made one last year and he really liked it. it's refrigerated and so anything cold is good in this awful heat. What have you been up to? Next week is hubby's BD but he never wants a cake, he's just not much on sweets. Hope your weekend is good, stay cool!

Hi there. Yes we have scorpins where I live. I don't know how they get in the house. Probably the same way spiders get in the house. But this is the first scorpin we have had in a while. And its just a sting I got from it. I'm feeling just fine and my thumb is no longer bothering me. I don't know if it came in cause it was hot. I did have a hard time sleeping on the couch. Not because there had been a scorpin in the house but because my thumb was burning and throbbing. But the scorpin, hopefully is long gone by now. When it stung me I thrashed around on the bed. Hopefully I scared it enough to run away. Not much going on here. Went to Walmart this morning and got some things we needed. Now its in the low 90's but very humid. We have a good chance for rain and wind later on today. Hopefully we will just get the rain. We don't need the wind. Our trees don't need anymore knocked done branches. I will go for now. Take care. I cleaned bathrooms today and made dinner before we left for a meeting at the Moose. Tired of eating at either Applebees or Mexican after the meeting and it's late to eat, so we ate before going tonite. They are the only two places that are open till 10 and at times they don't leave the Moose till 9 or 9:30. It rained some when we left to go home -- not suprised as it was hot again today but guess the humidity was built up enough today. Hope you feel better and can sleep in the bed tonite - I'd still be afraid to even stay in the house! don't know how you even slept on the couch! Hugs, Wendy
Good afternoon to you. I hope you are having a good day. Its a warm and humid one here. Its 90* and feels like 97*. To humid for me. At least its nice and cool here in the house. My afternoon is going good. Much better than last night when I was in bed and a scorpin stung me on my thumb. Boy did that burn and hurt. It isn't bothering me know. But last night I decided to sleep on the couch. I didn't feel like I could go to sleep in the bed after that happened. Tony checked all over the bed and the scorpin wasn't there, but I felt better sleeping on the couch. Took a while to fall asleep as my thumb was throbbing and burning.
