Good afternoon to you my friend. Its a hot 90* here and humid from the storm we had last night. It was a very very windy storm. Had some rain with it but now we have tree limbs to cut down that are laying on the ground. I don't know how high the wind was but it was awful. Now the sun is shining and its hot. Not much else going on. I took some pictures of the tree branches, I need to post them on here. Well take care my friend and enjoy your afternoon. Good Morning Wednesday! My day off and I will be outside watering plants this morning.
I saw this picture and what memories it brought back of just over 20 years ago when we lived in South Texas. I had a 3' tub planter of Bird of Paradise with lots of blooms that I left behind when we moved.
What? You left a plant behind? Yes, I knew it would not survive in this colder weather. It still breaks my heart.
Now before that Texas sun beats down on us again today, I really need to water the plants I do have growing and wilting daily.
After all, they are all lined up waiting for a refreshing drink this morning. Then there is the grocery list that is waiting too.
Seems like everyone in this house wants to be fed... dogs and humans alike.
good morning Pal, I have an android too. Never been an Apple person. Their cameras are awesome but my Samsung does alright I guess. I opend the gallery, click the little icon the bottom that looks like a wishbone (turned sideways) then when it brings up the options to share, I choose message OR email and send it to myself (to my email address) Then I open my email and download the pic. Usually have to resize them using the edit link at Dreamies or a similar site since they are huge pics straight from your phone. Glad the storms stayed to your north. It's hot as a firecracker here. I got up at 1:30 this morning to take my dog out and it was hot even then! It's the humidity that's the worst down here. For now I'm parked in front of the fan. Have a good Tuesday!
Good afternoon to you. I hope you are having a good one. I had errands to do earlier so I'm just now getting on here. Its a warm afternoon here. But not as hot as it will be on Wednesday. Its supposed to get up to 100. I don't like that at all. Yesterday we spent most of the day outside. My husband got his mower running and spent the time mowing the yard and I was cleaning out our "new" hot tub that his sister gave to us. I was sore last night from leaning over cleaning out the hot tub. We haven't filled it with water yet. I hope I will like it. Not much else going on here. Just taking it easy. May you have a glorious day doing this and that and hearing the birds singing. Many nests in the trees this spring so now I am watching the little birds flying around to and fro. It is so cute to watch is off and on as one is doing their daily duties. Smiles Gloria
good morning Pal, too bad you missed your chance to eat the BBQ place, maybe y'all can plan it for another time. My son made a Brisket and some burnt ends when he came to visit last month. Snapped the beach pic above yesterday. Hubby and I took a picnic and spent the day at the coast. It was a good Beach day, with only gentle waves and a nice breeze. He doesnt' like to go in the water but I did. I don't go out past hip deep,not trying to feed the sharks. LOL. There's always a guy that's got to fish nearby and I swear that draws them up to the beach, they catch baby sharks down there and where there are babies there are the mama and daddy sharks. It's so annoying to me they inisist on fishing near where people are swimming. How was your weekend? Nothing much going on here. Tomorrow I have to drop off my SUV at the shop to be worked on, AC is not cooling. Wed. is a checkup at the doctor. No plans for the holiday weekend. Will stay home out of the crowds.
