Sunday is here and I will be working on Monday and Tuesday. I was so busy on Saturday that I didn't get to visit each of you but I did post a bulletin.
So it is a new week and I am still playing catch up. Can you believe this is the last week of June and that half this year is over?
When it comes to housework and trying to get things done that I don't like doing, I always want to run away.
But then in the middle of grumbling, you look around and the Blessings just are all around you.
Something so beautiful is right there in front of you and it puts a smile on your face.
OK, it was only a flower and maybe a hummingbird too but they both put a smile on my face.
Hello Pal, well I get the late breakfast thing, believe me. I either skip it completely or eat breakfast around most people's lunch time. Bet your meatloaf was good, I made 2 kind of small ones last week. Had a good girls day yesterday. We had lunch out and got my eyebrows done and nails done. So long overdue, let me tell you. It felt so good to get some pampering. I'm loving my shorter hair cut too, easier to manage. Trying to talk hubby in to a trip to the coast tomorrow. He doesn't want to go anywhere since he retired and I guess he is still enjoying not having to get up and leave every day. That's how I was, just wanted to stay home that first year and be lazy. Meant to tell you my overnight oats were good that I made, found a new recipe and think I'll change it up next time and leave out the cocoa. It called for almond milk (gross, it's not even milk) but I used regular milk and peanut butter instead of almond butter. That stuff is outrageous what it costs. You put dry oats in the mixture and let it sit overnight and soak it all up.
Don't overdo that hip with vaccuuming and have a good weekend.
Friday afternoon. I made it home. We are 93 but feels like 110°. We could sure use some rain. Debating whether to water now or tomorrow Morning. Meatloaf and Sheppards Pie both sound good to me.

Well it did rain again today but it was early in the morning and by the time I got up, the sun was out. It was a nice day all day with temps in the high 70's and quite breezy. I didn't go out at all so I vacuumed and did a few other things around the house. We ate breakfast at 2 pm so dinner wasn't untill 8 pm - way too late to eat but we did it. Made meatloaf, fresh mashed potatoes and fresh asparagus. Fo some reason it took a long time to make this Have to admit the meatloaf recipe was a new one and I think I waited to chop up the onions till the last minute. Anyway it was good and I think I'll use the leftover meatloaf to make Sheppard's Pie since I also have a good amount of mashed potatoes. Have a good nite and a fine Friday. Hugs, Wendy
Hi there. I hope you are having a lovely afternoon. Its a nice day here. Going to warm up to in the 80's. Don't know when the next time we will get rain. Hopefully it will be a while. My husband got the parts in for the mower so on Sunday afternoon he can put the new parts on the riding lawn mower and oh so hopefully it will start. Not much going on here this afternoon, just taking it easy. Well enjoy your afternoon and weekend my friend. Hugs, Cheryl
A Happy Friday day to you. My goodness this week just flew by enjoying the moments of life. I am so excited for we should receive some rain showers today and for the next days. Looking forward to splash in some puddles while singing a song and giggling! Anyone who says sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain. ~Author unknown
Loving all this rain we are getting today. Its been raining most of the day and its nice and cool out too. Sure beats the heat and humidity we had yesterday. How is your day going? Not much going on here, just got the front door open and the screen door window down and listening to it rain. Take care my friend and enjoy your day. Hugs to you, Cheryl
