Good morning. Beware the Ides of August, and that is today. It is also a Holy Day of Obligation for this writer. Church this morning and then back to sinning. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
I have a plan of action for today in regards to the problem with the frozen vegetables in my freezer. I had a discussion yesterday with a few people on the internet about my frozen vegetables. I tried to prepare a package of carrots yesterday and it ended up a debacle. I have several packages of frozen vegetables. The ones where one steams the package in the microwave works out really well. The other ones where you have to actually open it up and cook it have not turned out well since the beginning of time. I kept trying but was not a success and there are quite a few packages like that in my freezer. I always thought that if I keep something in a freezer it would last for an eternity. Furthermore, the vegetables in question take up a lot of room because of frost gathering in the package. And I've always had trouble finding room in the freezer for items I want. After the incident yesterday, see picture, I have decided to go into the freezer today and attempt to cast out all of the frozen vegetables that are in the older type packaging. Someone asked me what the date was on the package I used yesterday. I have no idea as a best used by is not there. There is some secret code on the package. I think I broke the code down to 2007. That is a guess. I am hopeful I can dispose of these packages. I have not decided if I would just bury the contents in my garden. I have my fingers crossed that the same problem I have with these vegetables I am not going to have with chicken and fish. I seem to have several packages of them and did not even know it. The way this started was yesterday was a good day to use the oven and I was looking for a specific package of fish. I was going through the freezer and found all kinds of things I didn't even know I had. I bought one of those long packages of salmon several years ago that was frozen. The price was right compared to what salmon sells for and I thought it was a good idea however it became too awkward to try to remove the package from the freezer. As a matter of fact, I had to actually use a piece of it immediately when I purchased it to get it in the freezer as it was too long, see pic. I may update this message at a later time depending on my success or failure in this endeavor. Have a good day. May the force be with me.
Good morning. Started raining the last half mile of the walk so it was a success especially since it was not pouring or lighting up the sky. Nothing planned for today as I am preparing myself for the Holy Day tomorrow. Obligatory. Have a good Monday. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
