Would you like to share a latte with me? I made two, one for you and one for me.. You can have the one with the heart in the middle.. lol
It's been awhile since I've heard from you.. I know you went on vacation for awhile to the Maldives.. Hope you had the time of your life while there.. Tell me about your trip - who did you go with, was it just you and the hubby? Do you visit several of those little islands or is there just one in particular that you like best? I read they are difficult to get to since they are so small..
Oh my, what a pretty Christmas page you have. I love that shade of blue and the train is so cute. The top part really looks like a White Christmas. I notice that your comment area is back to normal. Had a little trouble with it yesterday, but all is good now. I was going to put the message I sent you here in the comment area, but now I'm glad I didn't. I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling poorly. It's such a bummer to feel sick during the Christmas season..
You had asked me about Thanksgiving. We didn't go anywhere on that day because hubby wanted to finish connecting the Christmas lights. We went out the following day, which was a Friday and had a 'day after' Thanksgiving meal. Better late than never. I'm not a big celebrater anytime of the year. We went to a restaurant called the Cracker Barrel. What's nice about this place is that they have a big fireplace and I love to just set there and listen to the crackling of the fire. They had fried turkey on the menu. That was the first time I ever had fried turkey. It tasted so different, but better. I think they must put the turkeys into a deep fryer. Did you ever try fried turkey? Afterward the meal, I ordered a cup of latte. Do you like lattes? They come with whipped cream on top. Just sat there sippping on my latte and listened to the fire crackle. So relaxing. Do you put up outside Christmas lights? We turn our lights on every night. I love seeing Christmas lights, especially when it snows. I remember back to when we'd have 6 to 8 inches of snow and the lights would shine their noses up through the snow. Would look kinda magical..
Hope you're enjoying this wonderful time of the year. It's the best time of the year. There's a song that has those words in it. Good night, Summer
Hey there Summer... I did make it to the restaurant that sold those Halloween drinks. Those drinks ended on the 31st. Made it on the last day. Finally tried the Tipsy Zombie. It was real tasty, but decided I liked the taste of the Dracula Juice better, so I ordered one of those too! I'll bet the waitress thought 'what a lush'. That's a saying we use here to describe someone who indulges in booze. I don't drink alcohol that often, but every now and then, I like to cut lose for special occasions. I mean, we only live once, so I figure 'enjoy while you can'. lol
I'm sending you a Harvest Moon for Halloween. Do the kids go trick-or-treating there where you are? I realize it has beome dangerous now-a-days with all the crazies running loose everywhere. I use to love dressing up in crazy costumes. My favorite costume use to be a vampire. lol. Even some adults dress up over here if they're going to a Halloween party. Have never been to one of those. I'll bet it would be fun. Oh, before the end of the month, I'm going back that restaurant where they make those special Halloween mixed drinks. I still have to try the 'Tipsy Zombie' drink. I'll probably go there on Monday evening, which will be Halloween evening..
Hope you have a pleasant weekend, Summer... Take Care
I'm so glad you like Harvest Moon. Was hoping you would. I meant that song for you, Summer (for many reasons). I hope you think of me when you hear it. Such a perfect song for this time of year. Reminds me of autumn and October..
Stopping by to say hello and to ask how you and the new grandbaby are doing these days? I hope all is well in your neck of the woods. That's a saying we use in this country sometimes. Keep in touch..
So nice of you to keep in touch. It's always good to hear from you. Your granddaughter must have been impatient to get into the world. She arrived early, didn't she? I couldn't handle helping to deliver a baby. I'd be frantic.
I've been going to physical therapy twice a week. This is my 3rd round of therapy. The surgeon mentioned doing an ankle fusion, which fuses two bones together. That's suppose to eliminate some of the arthritis pain, but I'm afraid to chance it. I'll be thrown backwards, meaning it will take another 4 to 6 months of healing, which means no weight bearing, so I'll be back in the wheelchair again while it heals. The thought overwhelms me. Feels like I've been climbing this mountain forever..
After I'm done with therapy, I've been stopping at my favorite ice cream parlor called 'The Meadows'. Yesterday, I got a Caramel frozen yogurt. Everyday they offer a different flavor as the special of the day. I'm glad I don't stop there everyday because I'd probably gain 5 pounds a week if I did. lol. I feel that I must treat myself after every therapy session.
Please don't ever feel that you must come online for my sake. You do what you feel is best for you. I realize that you're a very busy lady and just so you know, I'm not a "needy" person. lol
Hope you have a wonderful weekend, my friend (as I know you will). xx Hugs from MoonGirl
