Wishing us both an uplifting Thanksgiving weekend.. We don't cook anymore.. Going out to eat dinner at Cracker Barrel.. Let them deal with the mess :) The food always tastes better when I'm being waited on.. lol.. They always serve a nice Thanksgiving meal, complete with sweet potato casserole with pecans baked into it.. I'm gonna get one of those fancy Latte coffees too with whipped cream squirted on top.. Yum!!
After New Years, little by litttle we'll start creeping right back into the doldrums of summer.. I hate to think about it so I try to put it out of my mind.. I want to go to Applebees because they have those special mixed drinks made up for Christmas now.. They did have the Halloween drinks made, but that's over.. Now I'm going after the Christmas drinks, which will be made through New Years.. Everything will feel so festive in the restaurant.. They even have Christmas lights strung and a small tree in the corner as you walk in..
Next Thursday is Thanksgiving already.. Time is going by like a shot in the dark.. Next it will be Christmas racing by like it never happened.. And then all my favorite times of the year will be over.. The only time I feel festive is during my favorite ocassions - October, November and December.. Then what - nothing left in my opinion.. *x hugs x* Darlene
Hello Ric from a stormy humid afternoon in South Australia. Thunder & lightening for the past hour or so and we’ve even had a few good showers of rain. Such a lovely fresh smell in the air now. A few rumbles can still be heard in the distance but I think this lot has passed. Poor little fur babies are upset but beginning to settle down a little now.
So glad you got a good report from your visit to the Dr. Nice to have that out the way for a few months.
Yes, having a faster speed makes such a lot of difference and as you say there is very little difference in the cost. Do you have the Landline phone included with the internet? I do plus “Fetch Box” where I can stream all different programme’s.
Any signs of winter your way yet? My experience over the years that the seasons go in cycles. Usually several dry followed by the wet and cold ones. It’s the humidity that’s hard to take.
I didn’t go to Scrabble today as I saw a Specialist on Saturday re my extreme BP. Have new medication that’s very strong along with the old so while that is taking effect I’m taking it quietly at home for a few days. Have you anything special planned for the day? Whatever you do enjoy yourself. Pat.
