Scotty and Emmett were driving down a country road drinking a few beers when they observed the State Police had a roadblock setup ahead.

Emmett the passenger told Scotty the driver, "we gona get busted for driving and drinking, what can we do?"

Scotty tells Emmett to tear the labels off two of the beer bottles then throw all the empty bottles out the window.  He then instructs Earl to stick the label on his forehead as he does the same.

They approach the roadblock, stop and the State Police Trooper asks, "you boys been drinking?"

Scotty responds, "no way, can't you see we are on the patch".
