I presume that's the Mayflower - what a pretty ship, but I wouldn't like to make the journey in it that the Pilgrim Fathers endured. Thank you Alice for this enchanting snippet of history, it's great that such events have never been forgotten. We have a town in NZ called New Plymouth.
Yes, that's the replica of the original Mayflower which is the exact size and it sits in our harbour for most of the year then goes into drydock for the Winter. Interesting that there is a New Plymouth in NZ. Thanks for the comment. Luv, Alice
What a gift, seeing your pictures. I really enjoyed them. Too many towns and cities use Thanksgiving to begin Christmas with parades about that holiday, missing the reason and the tributes to Thanksgiving. How wonderful to have memories shown in your Thanksgiving Parade- to remember its reason - To Give Thanks for all we have been given!!
