I just turned 63 years old. I have been married to my husband for going on 42 years. We have four children, three sons, and a daughter in heaven. They have all made us proud to be their parents. We have two daughter-in-laws, six grandkids, and one great grandchild. Our third son is not married but he is getting ready to settle down so there is hope for more grandkids! I have been a medical secretary for 16 years. I work four eight hour days a week but have Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off. I was working five days a week but management cut me back by one day but I am thrilled with my three day weekends. At this point in our life my husband and I are taking care of our mothers. My mother-in-law turned 93 this year and had a fall and a bout with pneumonia and has spent the last couple months in a nursing home. We are thinking of allowing her to be released back to her home as she wants to go home very badly. We will be checking on her daily and helping in any way possible. My mom who will soon by 86 has been ill for the last two years. She has had four major bowel surgeries in the last two years. There have been many weeks of a wound vac, dressings, etc. The last few months have been the best she has felt in a couple years and we know that the good Lord has blessed us to have her still with us. I spend 90% of my weekends with her in her home in Upper Sandusky Ohio...about 28 miles from our house. The rest pf the weekend are generally spent watching our grandkids. What a trip they are! We are so blessed to have our grandchildren and doubly blessed to have them all so caring of each other.

We have joined a church in the last year and my husband and I really feel we have found our church home. We really like it and the people are very nice and welcoming. My husband and I have some chores that we volunteer for once a month. Our grandson who is almost 16 plays the guitar in the church worship group. He is a darn good guitar player and I really believe this is his calling. He has had a couple rough years with depression and anxiety but this church has allowed him to bring out the great young man that he is. Lucus has led us all to be part of this great church that we all attend now. Actually it was our grandson that steered us all to this church and feel his problems have led us all to a better place and some place to pull all of us through the rough times. Our next grandson is now helping with the young kids worship service by running the sound board and helping with videos etc. We feel really blessed that these two teenagers are following the Lord and helping to bring so many others to Christ.

My other like is the fact that we are a close family and really enjoy being with each other. We are also close to my mom, Dick's mom, my brothers and sisters and their families. As far as I am concerned family is what it is all about!

People who always see the worst in everything. They never seem happy and that has a way of bringing everyone around them down.
