Blue

Love the old stand by....Yorkshire pudding, but don't go overboard about the roast beef. I much prefer chicken. I also love most shellfish. Veggies and salads are our stand bys. My weakness is when it comes to deserts. To me, the meal is not finished until you have eaten something sweet. Not good for keeping off the pounds but have reached the age where I don't think it matters that much any more.

I was born in Yorkshire,England, one of 9 children. Married in 1950 my husband and I came to Canada in 1957. I was an office manager for a branch of a credit union out west but had to retire after a heart attack in 1980. I was married for 38 years and living in British Columbia where my husband sadly passed away. I like to be outdoors, but not on the hot and humid days. I like to walk but it has to be somewhere of interest,the beach or around a garden. Something like that.
My younger widowed sister and I share a home in a small town east of Toronto. I much prefer the climate in B.C. We are quite active and try to get away every winter.
We have a family pet. A 9 pound bundle of energy which is supposed to be a cross between a Poodle and a Spanial. I think she has more donkey in her than anything else. I have never been around a dog so stubborn, but she is loveable and keeps us both on our toes.

While I say I am not a miniaturist, I do take part in my sister's hobby. Her dollhouse took us almost 10 years to finish, but it is over 3 feet tall and with the surrounding garden is about 5 feet wide. I put pictures of it on a web site if anyone is interested in seeing them. There is also a wedding memory book which we made for one of her granddaughters.
