I feel I did nothing but run today. Woke up early to go to a cooking class - it was about charcuterie boards. She made each of us one in a plastic container. Had a couple slices of bread, crackers, salami, 3 kinds of cheese, Italian salad - tomato and mozzarell - and applebutter. Always need a sweet. Was interesting but I was back home in 40 minutes. I laid down for about and hour then got up and went to the hospital to get my CT scan. Had to drink 8 oz of water with something in it and it takes 30-45 mins to work it's way down. So after an hour I went in and was done in less than 5 minutes. Went to WalMart to exchange some shorts then stopped to get a pedicure. On the way home I got the new sandwich from Firehouse - pork bbq with colesalw, cheese of your choice on a toasted bun. OMG was it ever good - a big sandwich full of bbq. Just sitting around watching football on Prime. It's been warm here the last couple of days and will be tomorrow too then rain might move in. I'm tired and I don't think I'll watch the game to the end. Have a nice nice. Hugs, Wendy
Oh my list is so long that I don't even know where to start. Our Medicare Specialist went over the new plans for next year and we are saving $$$.
It started raining last night about 9:15 pm and rained on and off until after 5 am this morning. Yes, we are ever so THANKFUL. The big cracks in the yard are now very small and shallow. What a Blessing!
I am always thankful for coffee. I love the smell of it much more than I do drinking it. However, I love drinking it too!
There is nothing like love jumping on you when you walk in the door. I am not sure we will ever get another pet or dog but at the same time, I can't imagine life without one.
I am so blessed by all the friends that I have and have had some of them 40-50 years or more. New and long time friends mean the world to me!
The journey hasn't always been smooth but I am so grateful for the road we are on now and where He has led us. Glad you are part of it too!
Your outfit sounds very nice Cheryl and it's gonna be a nice small wedding to enjoy, celebrate and have a good time. It's a lovely day here with temps in the high 70's and a lovely breeze. Went to lunch with a few of the seniors from the center to a place not too far from here. It's a little bakery that serves lunches - popular small place. Then after finishing we went to a hughe farm market that really is a tourist trap on the way to the Beach. they sell everythig you can think of from wines to jellies, jams, pumpkins this time of year, salsas to candy and nuts and so much more. It's jammed on the weekends. But it was nice to get out and now it's time to rest as I had to get up early for this. We have a meeting at the Moose tonite then out to dinner which is around 9. I hope you are all ready for the wedding on Saturday Cheryl. Do you have your dress and shoes? You'll have to post of pic of the 4 of you when you have time next week. We went to dinner at his brother's house for dinner tonite - had raviolis meatballs and sauce - I brought a nice crisp salad. Everything was good. Missed the bread though - Richie's brother doesn't eat bread as he's diabetic and the pasta is enough. I'm pre and Rich is but his is controlled with Ozempic once a week - that's the shot you give yourself. I take a pill. But we eat what we want and we just had some apple crisp with whipped cream. Hope your weekend and Monday were nice days. I was busy today with cleaning the kitchen, doing a load of whites, folded them and put them away, cleaning other things and making an apple crisp for dessert as I had a bag of apples. Rich had a doc appointment and I stayed home so I could do all this. He made dinner of spam and noodles and have lots left over. Glad to hear everyone in your family are doing welll. They just pull at my "heart strings"! Our neighbors will be home sometime Monday so today will be our last evening to gather eggs.
Nothing like being a Mother Hen! But we love taking care of their animals. It was so cute when we "call" Gus and he comes running to us. He knows we love him.
