It was 67 today - just like a pretty spring day. I went to the Albermarl Muesum with the senior center to see a presentation of the effects of CO2 has on the rise of sea level here in North Northeast, NC. It was very interest and this professor believes in climate change. After that we all went to lunch. It was a real nice day all in al. I am so stuffed from lunch - I had chicken parm w/spaghettin and garlic bread. I'll probably eat the rest of it for a later dinner and I have leftover kielbaba and cabbage that Rich can have. I'm just gonna relax the rest of the afternoon and evening. Hope you get the same. Hugs, Wendy
The rain moved in mid morning and is supposed to stay through tomorrow. Good thing I got Taxes dropped off at 9 am this morning.
Now don't you think that is a good idea? My only problem is that I finished the book I was reading at 2 am this morning.
Now we are talking! I will spend some time deciding which book will be next. I am getting excited as I have several titles on my favorites list.
I am so trying to ignore my todo list that had 9 things on it today and only 2 have been marked off. Let's see rain tomorrow too... I'll try to get some reading and some things marked off today and the same for tomorrow. I can always erase my list and start over, right?
Good afternoon Cheryl - yes, y day has been good. Ran the washer but the stuff need to go into the dryer. I stripped the bed earlier but had to stop due to back pain. Will get new sheets after I finish her. Am going tothe men's meeting for the VFW around 6 tonite. Honey is leaving in about a half as he has a meeting at 5. Good that you are having a nice day. It's sunny here and in the mid 50's. gotta get the wash into the dryer. Have a good evening/nite. Hugs, Wendy
What a difference sunshine makes... 24 little hours... SING it all day long now! But isn't it the truth!
I thought I was going to have to pack up Teddy and find a new place to move or at least visit for a while. You know, someplace warm with lots of sunshine!
I was looking for a warm beach with LOTS of sunshine. But I needed the Longhorn channel on TV because today is College BASEBALL at noon! It is just the Alumni game but I am so excited. Then in less than 2 weeks there will be 3 days of Longhorn Baseball games in DFW at Globe Life Field.
I'll leave you with Peace on the Beach this Saturday as Spring is surely on the way soon.
The sun finally came out today and we made it up to 39 I think but is going down to the teens tonite. But the sun is supposed to stick around for a couple more days so hopefully it'll dry up the yard which is like a wet sponge. Can't believe you are warmer than us. Have good Saturday. Hugs, Wendy
What a difference the sunshine makes! As you can see the ice is beginning and I say beginning to melt as our temperature is only 35 mid morning today.
Yesterday evening and so far today have been the worst on the road in the DFW area, with most accidents, many fatalities, and most delays. People were lured into believing that the roads were clear along with many people having cabin fever! They got out and drove at high speeds and then hit patches of ice. Some drivers would come upon 18 wheelers that were stopped trying to get up a hill or over an overpass. So if your package is delayed, it might be in Dallas waiting for an airplane to take off or on a big truck still here.
Everything is in God's timing and since he skipped over me when he was giving out patience... I am having a hard time waiting for Spring and even the warmer temperatures next week. Guess I will go bake some blueberry muffins.
Glad you had such a nice outing with your son plus lunch! how nice. It's been another rainy gloomy day here. We have the 3 extra dogs and even though we take them out several times during the day - one still peed and pooped in the house after being out 3 times. Oh well we're planning on having the rugs shampood - good thing we waited. We werre supposed to go out to dinner at a seafood place right up the road, but this afternoon Rich started with chills and not feeling well. He went to bed and took some asprin and now he feels better but still are not going out with the others as he doesn't want to spread anything. Better go and get dinner on and feed the dogs. We are just having some soup that I made the other day and bread. Bless your little heart for the rest of the evening adn nite. Punxsutauney Phil tells us no early spring but in other areas it'll be an early ( in Alabama). Happy Groundhog Day! Hugs,Wendy
