Everyone has enough leaves already this Fall to make a dress because winter is already here. The weekend is a time to relax. Get outside and enjoy this time of year around a fire. However, don't forget to Thank our Lord for the beauty all around us.
Smile! It is Saturday! I sure dread putting ribbon around the 44 pies that Kelly will pick up from Costco Monday and attempting to tie a bow on each. Then Tuesday the clients will drive up and call us and we will take their choice of Apple, Pecan, or Pumpkin to each family. Next Saturday we will go to Flower Mound to see our girls and that is something to look forward to now. What are you doing this coming week?
It was 28 last nite and 50 and sunny today but gonna be 31 tonite - so we are having some cold here too. Going out tonite with our friends to the Moose - haven't been in a couple of weeks. They are picking up spaghetti dinners from the Lyon's club to be eaten there. they might shut the place down for good as it needs so many repairs and they just don't have the money. All I did today was do a load of darks and put them away. Hope your day was good and that you are keeping nice and cozy. Hugs ,Wendy
Oh my! What a week it has been and at last there is hope to survive it all. We will be giving out over 40 pies for Thanksgiving so next week will be a very busy one too. I just want you to know that your friendship means the world to me and I planted some flowers for you!
Don't think I knew you were diabetic - but it's good to know you are well. Do you take insulin Cheryl? My son does but Rich is on Ozympi once a week and is doing really good. He fell last nite and cut the corner of his eye really deep. Told him he needed stitches but he didn't want to go to the local hospital so he went to one about 45 minute away and got sutures inside and 9 outside. I had a hecke of a time trying to get it to stop bleeding last nite. Had no steri-strips so had to try to close it with band-aides. Wrapped his head with guaze - looked just like old picture movies with head injuries! Have a good nite and a good day tomorrow. Keep warm as 29 is too cold for me too - it's 35 here.
Stayed in all day - mostly on the phone talking and making calls - was a busy day. Got an insta pot a few weeks ago but finally used it tonite with a recipe I found online that sounded good - chicken and rice. Turned out good but will tweek it next time we make it. Meanwhile I'll look for other recipes that I like. I know there are alot of them. Went to the auxillary meeting Monday and it was quiet. I brought my potted plants in the garage as the temp is going down to 35 and and lower than that the next day or so. I'm guessing it's cold where you are, but we had a high of 61 today. Have a good ntie. Hugs Wendy
My day off is half over and we have survived the skin check at our yearly doctor visit. Now if we can just survive winter as we seem to have skipped Fall completely. Mid 30's at night with NO SUN and only mid 40's during the day is definitely winter in Texas. Is it February? Did I miss Thanksgiving and Christmas? We are often in the 70's and even 80's during those holidays. I hope you are having a Blessed week. Only 3 more days at work and I'll be back soon.
We aren't as cold as you but it's cold here too. Wore a jacket to the auxillary meeting tonite as it was in the high 40's today but 10 degrees colder tonite. Not much new here - the weekend was good but nothing special except we played dominos Sunday nite - it was my turn to cook and I made a cabbage roll casserold - I thought it turned out really well. I go for a shot in my eye tomorrow and a member of the VFW who was in WWII is being presented with the an award and we won't be able to attend because we'll be at the doctor's office. Hope you have a good nite - keep warm. Hugs, Wendy
Still not recovered from yard work (Bulletin post) as my knee is screaming. However, thanks to JustDeb, I got some help from her House Cleaning Fairies. So now, I am wishing you a Good Night and Sweet Dreams. I am freezing too... we are 39 and falling again tonight.
Hey Cheryl - how was your day? Hope you had a good one and that things went the way you wanted and you got everythign done. If not, not to worry as there is always tomorrow to finish up. We had a windy nite last nite as Nichole came blowing thru. I went shopping to pick up a few things that I needed and for making dinner tomorrow for our group. It was no nice, I only needed an overshirt when I went out. Have a good day tomorrow. Nite nite, Wendy
