Hell Grace - how was your weekend?  I hope you had a good one - do anything special?  We went for fresh-made burgers and fries on Friday at the VFW.  The girls from the auxiallary made them and they were sooo good.  Saturday we went to a 70 and 80's disco party held by a social club to benefit the boys and girls club here in the city.  It was very loud and I couldn't dance due to my hip but the food was real good.  Wouldnt do it again though.  Stayed home from doninoes on Sunday as our friends need to fix their kitchen floor - that was ok as it was nice to spend Sunday nite at home.  Today is a beautiful sunny day - quiet as well.  Have a good rest of the day and evening.  Hugs, Wendy

Most of you know I love to take pictures.  But to capture the moon like that, you need the right camera.  

Even with a phone camera, it takes the right "eye" to "see" the right angle to capture the right picture.  

I also just like looking at pictures.  I came across this one that had a caption of the name of a plant.  This is a Double Angel Trumpet.  

A lot of you might not know that plant or remember the name Cricket.  She was the first person that asked to be my friend when I joined Not Over The Hill in 2008.  The above picture is her Angel Trumpet plant in her front yard.  

While Cricket is no longer with us on earth, her Angel Trumpet plant lives on at my home just as she lives on in my heart.  She would take cuttings in the fall and root them over the winter.  She sent me a couple of cuttings and I still have one growing in a tub.  It is inside our garage today because it is cold.  It has been pulled in and out (in warmer weather) of our garage so many times over the years (hundreds) and will soon be at home in our backyard in another month when the weather stays warmer.  

Every time I spoke to Cricket with all her health trials, she would say she couldn't wait to get to Heaven and have a "Woo Hoo Party" with Jesus.  I was blessed by her friendship and I am also blessed by your friendship.

And you never know who is looking over your shoulder.  It could be a dove flying by or an angel that you don't even see.  

Sometimes when things seem to go wrong, it could be that God isn't saying "no" but just "not right now".  

There are times when it is hard to have faith and not think that God isn't listening to us.  BELIEVE

After all, they can be kind of scary.  Has your cat ever scared you or itself?

Finally, it is Friday.  I hope you have had a good week and I hope the temperatures have warmed up for you too.  

Now that Easter is past, I have moved flowers and hanging baskets out into the yard from under the makeshift greenhouse.  

Time to get out the potting soil, pots, shovels, and fertilizer and get busy.  Do you like this time of year?  

Kick your shoes off and let's go pick some Spring flowers.  I love going barefoot.  I rarely wear shoes in the house or around the yard.  

Look at how vivid the colors of the flowers are this time of year too.  It just takes my breath away!

Time to get outside and enjoy the sites, smells, and fun times.  And get that squirrel away from my computer... 

Oh wait, That is me!  

It is Thursday and the weekend is getting closer.  Let's find something fun to do today.  

Instead of sitting on a bench, let's sit here on this tree in Hawaii and visit.  

We can take a road trip in our minds.  Were you ever into the Hippie era?  I still love long hair on guys.  And boy did our parents hate it.  Kind of like we feel about a man bun now.  Sorry if you have one.  

Did you ever stop on the side of the road to eat... not at a roadside park but on the tailgate of your station wagon?  I still love those cars.  Remember the ones with the back seat facing the rear view?  

I will admit that I LOVE Mopar and the bigger the engine and the faster it goes, the more I like it.  We both still have our motorcycle endorsement on our drivers license even though neither of us own one anymore.  

Some things last forever, like Multnomah Falls.  Some things get more valuable with time, like old cars.  

Some people age well... like my girlfriend and I shopping and having a fun time together.  

Then some things just get better with time, like Robert and I.  I love him more every day.  I hope you are as blessed as I am.

How about just a peck?  The zoos are full of new babies.  It is Spring time after all.  

Did you know someone in my home likes zebras?  There are only 2 of us here.  

Ok, I will admit, that is a beautiful painting of a zebra, especially with the red background.  

They are very spectacular in the wild and with an orange (my favorite color, oh, you know that too) moon.  

Even the wind and the trees seem to like the zebras.  How about you?  What is your favorite wild animal?

If you celebrated Easter, Grace, I hope you had a wonderful day.  it was nice for us as we had dinner with honey's brother and wife.  i brotght over sweet potatoes, dessert and two kinds of veggies,  She made a wonderful ham.  It's been a long time since we've all eaten together, so it was nice and we want to do it again.  The weather here has been nice - sunny but still a bit chilly.   Have a wonderful ret of the week.  Take care and be safe.   hugs, Wendy
