I thought most of us could appreciate this. We have been below freezing at night but are blessed not to have had any snow or snow that stayed.
Hubby is doing OK. He is at the 72 hour mark which means things should start to get better. Pills, cold therapy and keeping his foot elevated are helping lots. This is my last day to nurse him as I go back to work Tuesday through Friday. I will take him to the doctor on the 20th and then go to work.
I know the end of January until mid February is our worst winter weather, but I am still counting the days until Spring...
~Hope your week is going well....We have had sunny in the 60s~Some nites freeze...The Wind Machines blowing on the Orange Trees to keep them from freeze....Mountains Look So Beautiful with Snow....Have a peaceful evening~ Hugs Lorri
I don't even know what day it is. Let's see, tomorrow is Thursday so it must be Wednesday. On Friday, I am not working but hubby is having surgery on his toes. So I am not sure when I will be back. so...
today and to check and see what you have been up to lately. It has been a wild ride around here almost every day. It is a little too cold for my perfect weather right now.
But hey, some of you like it that way and enjoy getting out in snow to build a snowman or snow baby. I know we have another month of this but I am ready for Spring. I haven't even had time to look at my flowers so I am looking forward to staying home soon (sometime next month).
Probably won't be sunbathing but I can still dream of warmer weather. In fact, it makes my hair curl (and uncurl) just thinking about it...
I still have all the 2021 files to pull and 2022 files to get started. My precious Daughter-in-law sent me pictures today. Only 277 pictures from their trip to Mexico, Christmas, school functions, and I don't even know what else because I have yet to look at them all. But I will share something with you soon.
I have been running in circles lately and need three of me to keep up! My work is so much fun and in about another month, mid February, I should be back to part time.
Last weekend I did finally get new nails put on for the "Happy New Year to everyone!" just in case I forgot to tell you. We ate our black eyed peas so it should be a great year.
Yesterday was my day off. So after we both got a shower we were out the door. Rbt is having surgery next Friday, 14th, on his right toes to remove hardware from last surgery and straighten them AGAIN. So I dropped him off at his doctor's office to have pre-surgery blood work done while I went across the street to get a passport renewal picture taken.
Then we headed to the post office to get my renewal notice mailed. After that Rbt had to have a chest x-ray done before they closed at 4 pm. We hadn't eaten all day so we stopped at Cotton Patch for some comfort food. Best food and best Waiter we have had in a very long time.
So I am here trying to play catch up on each of you and your life the past couple of weeks. Thank you for all the messages and just for being such a faithful friend. I hope you will say a prayer for Rbt next Friday afternoon. It is only an hour long surgery and he will come home with a boot. But since I don't wear a mask, I will wait in the car for them to text me to pick him up. And we both will need prayers.
I hope to be back and check on you sometime this week. So until then...
Thought I would take a minute to stop by with flowers for you. As I am home and writing this, we are 79° and will be for a couple more days. But ole man winter is coming. Saturday we will drop from the 70's into the 20's.
So our new year will start with several nights of freezing temperatures. I can only hope we don't get snow flurries or freezing rain or sleet because Texans don't drive well in bad weather.
Even South Texas will probably get close to freezing. So the first week in January I will wear sweaters to work. Not sure when Kelly will get someone hired and trained but that's OK. I love working for her and helping our precious clients.
Hearing from you means a lot to me and I will be back to check on you when I have time. Remember, I am sending you Blessings and Hugs. Now I am heading outside to check my plants.
Sandy, I hope you will drop me an email soon and catch me up on what your December has been like. I will catch up as soon as Kelly hires the perfect fit for her office. Until then it is work, work, work.
Here it is Christmas Eve. I hope your tree is decorated, the presents are wrapped and you can relax with something warm to drink.
As I share this Christmas Story with you that I found years ago. I do hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
From our home to yours, I thank you for your friendship near and far because heart to heart we are close.
And he shares it with you so that you can shine your light and share it everywhere you go! Blessings & Hugs!
~ Merry Christmas~ Cold here~But we are getting our much needed Water...Snow in the Mountains.....Rain coming more all week~.....Hope you have a Blessed Christmas~ Hugs Lorri
So what did you ask Santa for this year? Is there anything you really want? Have you been good?
Since I am working and have a little $ showing up in my bank, I bought myself a new wristlet purse. When I showed it to hubby, he said, "Boy, I have good taste." Yes he does! After all, he married me! That was the day before the haircut!
Did you have to ship any gifts? Do you think they will get there in time? Both my families came to visit the second week of December and we celebrated birthdays, including Jesus! No shipping for us.
I hope you get everything you want this year. Maybe a new teddy bear. And I pray that the wonderful message of Christmas is in our hearts.
The one true gift is all we need. Jesus was born to die for all of our sins.
