Monday is a golden day!  It is a new week with all kinds of possibilities.  

Yesterday was a long day but a good one.  It was after noon when we got on the road to drive an hour to Flower Mound and drop off our 2 granddogs.  After hearing about their vacation and seeing pictures, we went to CheeseCake Factory to eat and then Nicole, our granddaughter, the oldest one, drove my car back to their home and we jumped in the car and drove an hour home to take care of the chickens. 

I thought I would show you Hurricane Beryl.  We grew up in South Texas near Corpus Christi.  Beryl made landfall near Victoria too far north and so all of South Texas being on the DRY side got 5-12 minutes of rain.  They need rain!  The blue dot is Fate where we live.  The first outer band came across us this morning for 1/10".  We might get a little more if the Beryl goes north before turning east.  It will end up in the north east so look out, many of you will get rain like Houson is getting now.  East Texas will get lots but most of Texas will get none being on the dry side of the storm.  

Tomorrow as the sun comes up we will be back to Hot & Dry and Beryl may be dumping rain on you.  I hope there will be no more destruction but I love weather and storms and thought you might enjoy seeing how big Texas really is and understand why I say, lots of Texans are still in need of rain.

Today is the first of four Sundays in the month of July.  We are below 100° for the next few days as well as starting each day just below 80°.  

Today we are still hoping for rain.  We know it is in God's perfect timing even when all we see are the big cracks in the ground.  

Be satisfied with each day and all the Blessings that come from Him.  

Don't ever let a day go by without saying, "Thanks!"   He is waiting to hear from you.  

When I say, "I love you!"  I mean it with all my heart!  

Have you taken a vacation yet?  Where did you go or where are you planning on going?  

Do you like to go to the mountains in the summer or in the winter?  

The beaches are crowded this time of year during the day and even at night.  

The lakes are crowded too but mostly with jet skis and fast boats of all sizes.  

If you come to the Dallas Fort Worth area, you are always welcome here. 

 Just be aware, whether it is Saturday or any other day of the year,  we love to sit and visit and relax every day!  

Friday is a lazy holiday for a lot of people.  I hope you celebrated yesterday and are recovering today.  

I also hope you are moving faster than our flag.  I am working today!  It will be a busy morning but hopefully a quiet afternoon.  

Wayne and his family had a wonderful fun time in Mexico.  I only got 142 pictures from Evelyn!  I have had so much fun looking at all of them.  

I hope, if you have been on vacation or are going soon, that you enjoy smiles as big and enjoy ice cream as much as Livvy and Bennett!  

However, if you are fishing, I hope you catch a bigger fish than Bennett.  But at the same time, I hope a shark isn't hot on your trail.  

No matter if you are on vacation or working, eating ice cream or fishing, make it a Glorious day and life.  It is all up to you!

But they are soooooo worth it!  Our granddogs cry when we leave because they are used to going along with their family.  

I am sure none of you use your dog's name for a password, over and over again.

Here it is July!  Do you remember when we were waiting for Winter to be over?  

Maybe it is a good day to take the dogs for a ride when we go get tacos!  

Or maybe that isn't such a good idea!  It looks like the whole neighborhood wants to come.  Can you imagine the expression on the person at the drive though?  

Let's just sneak out and not tell the rest of them where we are going!  I mean it is Tuesday but what they don't know...

Happy July!  Welcome to the summertime hot zone!  

It is too hot to cook or to turn the oven on for sure!  

Now Rose bushes love the hot weather so they should all be blooming now.  

However, if your rose looks like this, it might be a tad too hot where you live.  

So just take a deep breath and remember as we start a new month how fast the last month went by.  It will be November soon enough.  We have survived these temperatures in summers past and we will again.  

Sunday and the last day of June!  Let's make this day count!  

I say a prayer for you today and every day!  

Where are you going today?  Keep going in the right direction!  

Just follow His lead and listen for His voice!  

He always gives you weapons to fight your battles!  Remember you are never alone!  

This Saturday is the Dog days of Summer.  We start at 80° and head to 100° with a feel-like temperature again near 115°.  

I don't see an end in sight to this weather.  There is no rain in our forecast either.  

What is a dog to do in this heat?  Oh, get over it because every summer is just like this.  

No matter how hot it is, rain and cooler temperatures will show up eventually.  It will be November before you know it.  

Don't ever give up!  Learn to love each and every day and share that with others.  

Thursday is a happy day for all of us that woke up today and it should be triple the fun!  

Let's see who we can find today that wants to get into trouble with us!  

Oh no!  Let me get dressed and I'll be right there to bail you out.  

I took this over a week ago, but Livvy is always up for a dare and getting in trouble.  

You don't look like a black sheep!  I don't get in as much trouble now as I used to in my younger days.  

No matter, trouble or fun I hope you make the most of the day and share your smile and kisses with others.  

Wacky Wednesday, the last one in the month of June!  

Now, besides our 2 extra granddogs, we are babysitting chickens and watering the vegetable garden too.  

Summer is here and our temperatures are 99° and above for the foreseeable future.  

Our neighbors left yesterday for vacation.  We gathered four eggs yesterday evening and counted heads.  These three are the youngest chickens.  Of course, they all have names.  

This morning we began watering their vegetable garden and plants too.  Looks like every day there will be water plants at our home or their home.   Our water bill will be high next month.  

We love being a blessing to others because we have so many friends that bless us every day.  

Good Morning!  Happy Tuesday to you!  Chocolate is melting and me too!  I've been outside watering plants for over 2 hours.  

Turks Cap is a favorite Hummingbird plant.  They like my Vitex tree too!  

They fly all around the top in the lilac blooms of the Vitex tree and sit on the branches.  

Bennett found a strawberry and shared it with his sister Livvy.  

Livvy loves home grown tomatoes but doesn't like store bought ones.  

Enjoy your day and be on the lookout for hummingbirds!  

Monday is here as we wind down the month of June very HOT!  

We are in our second week of babysitting our granddogs.  This is Molly and she is the youngest of our group.  She loves swimming in their pool for hours.  

This is the oldest in our group, Lily.  She is a "Man Ankle Bitter," all 2 pounds of her, even though now she doesn't have many teeth left.  

Our Carly was treated to some extra love this week when our grandson, Will, came for a visit.  

At 5 pm every day, all our dogs remind Rbt that it is time for a snack.  This also happens each morning when he comes out of the bedroom as they are all there waiting for him and their snack.  Can you say SPOILED?

How in the heck did the weekend get here so fast?  One more week and the month is a goner.  

Did you see the month zip by?  The older we get the fasst time seems to move.  

Summer is here in force and the beautiful flowers are blooming and wilting just as fast.  

Yes Violet, I thought of you when I saw this one!  Just look at those green eyes!  

Does this make me look fat?  Maybe if I had a fridge like that I wouldn't open it as often.  hehehe

Let us learn to love each other unconditionally!  Because as different as we all are, we are all the same!  

Are you up yet???  I am moving very slowly today but I am also very excited today!  

In fact, I am so excited that I forgot to say, Good Thursday Morning!  Now guess what?  

Today is my day!  Would you like to celebrate it with me?  I certainly hope so!  

Maybe you can take your Grands to the zoo this summer to see me!  

Or maybe you can take them to the park to swing on the swings like my neighbor kids love doing in my yard.  

No matter what or when, just celebrate the day and remember that I love you and our friendship!

Thursday and our chances of rain are slim and none.  It is hard to believe that we are now in need of rain.  

Summer is officially here and the ground has BIG cracks in it already.  Feast or Famine!  

So as the sun comes up, let us count our blessings, like for the rain we have already had and for those that are getting it now.  

We have so many things to be thankful for each and every day.  Friends and Family are at the top of the list.  

Now if you will excuse me, I really need to water about a million plants in the front yard and the backyard on the longest day of the year!  

Middle of the week with just over a week to go and you know what?  The month of June will be gone!  

Talk about how time flies, the month of June just disappeared!  

Wouldn't it be nice just to put the brakes on and slow down?  

So let's slow down, look around, and do something extra for someone today whether you know them or not.  

Then see what happens in your life!  Blessings will abound in your life!  

At the end of the day sit back and reflect on the wonderful day you had and all that you accomplished!  

Tuesday is here!  Let's talk about planting seeds, flowers.  Mine are certainly blooming.  Put just a "few" of my pictures on my home page.  

Amazing how flowers can grow just about anywhere.  

Except where you plant them.  

You will find them popping up and think, "Did I plant that there?"  

Then comes the hard part...

waiting and loving.

Friday morning is here and I am heading to work today!  I just want to be a blessing to everyone I encounter today.

Give someone a hug because you can tell they really need it.  

All creatures that God made, not just humans, need sweet love.  

Even Wilbur, Wendy's pig, who gets canned pumpkin mixed in his breakfast.  Now that's love!  And I... 

Thursday is here already!  Do you eat 3 meals a day, morning, noon, and evening?  

I drink coffee every morning, but none of our meals are ever at a regular time of day. 

You never know what you will get to eat or what time a day you will get it.  Every day is different and a new adventure at our home!  

Especially if we go somewhere to get something to eat.  Look out!  Here we come!  

But the Lord always provides for us and gets us back home!

Middle of a busy week.  I will be working on Friday!  Yippee Yahoo!  I love seeing Kelly!  

Most days are like this when you are around other people, ordering food, shopping, driving, etc.   Oh, if I could reach out to another driver!!!  

Some days when you wake up you can be grateful and say, "I just did it again."  And some days are Wacky Wednesday!  

Everyday must be taken with a grain of salt and share your smile and laughter with others.  

Look for cuteness wherever you are and celebrate Life!  

We are in the middle of 3 days under 90° but the humidity is still there!  We are getting a very light rain this morning!

Sounds like a perfect time to take a trip to the beach.  

Even if the trip is through pictures of the beach, since not all of us live close.  

Why is it that the colors are so vibrant around the water?  

From sunup to sun down the colors change and all of them are beautiful.
