Sunday, a day to recharge and count your blessings!  Since Thursday about 6 pm, we have had a total of 7.5" of rain.  

Every day is coffee and scriptures to begin the day.  

One of my greatest blessings is my friends.  A hug can fix almost anything.  

Friends are there in sunshine and rain, thunder and lightning to put a smile on my face. 

Just want you to know how much your friendship means to me.  

Caturday Blessings to you!  Some plants  already got covered and some got put inside.  We got another 2-1/2" again last night.  

So there isn't really any reason to get up today, is there?  

I mean, after all, it is supposed to just rain all day on top of our 5" of rain we already have and keep getting colder and colder all day too.  

Between the rain and nothing outside to do makes me feel lazy and just want to sleep all day.  It is still very dark outside this morning!  

Guess I had better find something to eat to keep up my strength for some college football and world series baseball!  Hope you enjoy your Saturday!  

We made it to Friday once again.  Rain has been here and gone.  But it is supposed to come back again.  Now what?  

On Wednesday, we spent over 4 hours moving plants.  They all got a good drink of water and are now ready for the plastic to go over them.  We are expecting 3 nights of temperatures in the 30's.  

A picture from years past of the plastic pulled back in winter so they can get sunshine.  WE have lots of plants, ok I do, in pots scattered around the front and backyard; lots of hanging baskets everywhere in the back.  

This is what it looks like, again from years past, on a cold winter night.  Lights are on and the heater is going.  

All the plants in tubs, big plastic tubs, got moved to the front.  They will go in the garage when temperatures drop with a heater turned on.  

Just in case you were wondering... yes, I have plants inside too.  This is the only window in the house that does NOT have a solar screen so the plants can get light.  I have a plant or two in about 3 other locations inside the house.  

The weekend is getting closer.  What shall we do together today?  

Would you rather take a sailboat ride across the lake that is as still as glass or just sit on the bench and watch it float past us?  

We could talk about the birds: see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.  

Let's talk about all that is good and right in the world today.  Let us share our love and a smile.

So our adopted family came Monday after Will's dentist appointment!  

Oh what a fun time was had by all!  We ate delicious hamburgers!  The guys watched Westerns and talked.  Wendy made a great Apple Cranberry Coleslaw from a recipe I found and had bought all the ingredients.  Then we harvested my Malabar Spinach and had a wonderful visit together.  

As usual, Rbt shared lots of stories from many years ago with some knowledge thrown in.  Believe me when I say that there is a lot of knowledge and stories worth listening to from him.  

There is no telling how tall my 17 year old grandson is now.  His mom is 6' and his half brother is 6'9".  When I reach out my arms, they are at his waist.  He is such a loving and kind man that knows God and the Bible.  We are BLESSED!  

We are so thankful for the family and friends that Jesus has put in our life!  I am especially Blessed with my Hubby!  

Another day with chances of rain.  

This was my view a few days ago.  

Fall is the time for Chrysanthemums to bloom.  Isn't it amazing how different times of the year different plants show their colors.  

This Tuesday morning we are still waiting for rain.  It is west of us!  Fort Worth got a nice rain yesterday evening!  

Me, waiting for rain to get here.  Cooler temperatures coming... a high of 55 for Halloween is cold!  Not waiting for that!  Just trying to be thankful for every minute of every day.

Monday is here and our weather is changing.  I am enjoying the change but...  

I miss my hummingbirds so very much.  I love spending hours on tha patio watching them.  

I am thankful for all the many days they are at my feeders.  I know they went somewhere warm and they will be back.  

Is it time for them to come back yet?  I will just wait for them right here.

The weekend is here and I want to wish you a very Blessed Caturday!  

Everybody has their own view!  However, this is NOT one of my favorites.  If you have never had this view or fallen, count your blessings twice!  

What are you looking at?  Some of us always land on our feet.  

It is the weekend after all so let us all go to the beach and just CHILL.  Because we are in the 90's in Texas.  

Time to celebrate and be thankful for all of our Blessings!  I am still in t-shirt & shorts, just the way I like it.  

Little things make Fridays such a favorite day of the week.  

Our attitude is a BIG part of that Friday feeling!  Today we just have to be Happy and FLY like the Fall Leaves!  

Put on your best red dress and go out dancing tonight!  Just twirl around, feel good and share your love with a smile.  

We made it through another week and Fall is here.  There is so much to be Thankful for and let the weekend begin.  

Here we are on Thursday waiting for Friday and the weekend.  Do you have plans?  

I went out early and picked a Dandelion bouquet to share with you. Every part of the dandelion plant is a healthy herb.  

Then I harvested some lavender.  Now it is time for some coffee and to sit and read my book for a while.  

Maybe I will go for a bike ride when the temperature warms up a little.  

One of my favorite spots is down by the stream this time of year to watch the leaves in the wind and just listen to the water drift by.  Hope you have a fun day planned too.  

We are in the middle of the week and the temperatures are inching their way closer to the 80's.  

Sometimes Wednesday is just a catch up day.  Catch up on sleep as well at laundry and other chores.  

Some weeks are just rough going and you need the seas to calm down.  My week like that was last week.  

I hope I learned a lesson from it and will remain calmer the next time some things don't go exactly like I think they should.  

After all, God is always on my side and working in my best interest as well as teaching me a lesson along the way.  

Tuesday is the day!  What are your plans?  We still have cooler temperatures and so...  

I thought I would drop by for a visit.  Do you have sunshine and beautiful weather?  

Maybe we can take a walk.  We can listen for the chatter of the birds and possibly catch sight of some Cardinals.  

I would love to see some of your beautiful flowers and even pick some to take home with me.

I am trying to smile this Monday morning but it is still dark.  Just another reason I like summer... long days of SUNSHINE!

I do not like total darkness.  I have night lights in every room.  However, I know that Heaven's light is shining in my heart and I hope you can see it.  

Even at night when I go out to take pictures, the moon and stars (and my backyard solar lights) light up the area.  

I try to always be a light and I hope you light up when you are around others too.  

This week let us all be a lighthouse for those that are in darkness or in a dark place and need some light.  

Blessings on this Sunday and every day.  Laughter is the best medicine!  On that we can all agree.  

Love is what life is all about and it is healing along with time!  Every day show your love for everyone you meet.  

Some days it takes extra hope & strength with a smile on your face to show the love in your heart.  

Always look for the good with Love, Laughter, Hope, Strength, Smiles and whatever it takes.  Sundays are for starting the week off practicing all of these.

My gosh!  Where did the week go?  I had to look and see what day it was, FRIDAY?!  Friday the 13th is my lucky day!  

I think I need Chocolate and a lot of it to go with my coffee today!  It has been quite a week!  

Would you get me some ice to go with my scotch?  I only wish, with weeks like this one, that I would still drink!  

So I will just have Faith in the lessons that God has taught me this week and say, Thank You Lord!  Now, let's get ready for the weekend!  

Thursday was supposed to be a warm, near 90°, day for us but because of all the clouds yesterday and today, we will only be about 81°.  However the promises of an even cooler weekend are in sight.

Smile!  It is hump day, middle of the week, Wednesday!  I changed my router and what fun!  I am back up and running after almost 24 hours.  

Is your battery low and in need of being charged?  Today is the perfect day to smile and make others wonder what you are thinking!  Do you know how many things have to be reset because of no internet and a new router?  

What are you looking at?  Besides, that is a good way to get people to talk to you and share "love" with them!

Welcome to Tuesday!  I love flowers!  It is almost time to plant Tulips and other bulbs for them to come up in the Spring.  

We will take a slow drive down the dead-end road to the house and look at all the different colors.  

We can get out and get an up close view of the pretty pink ones.  

When you plant the bulbs you are never sure of what colors will come up.  Wouldn't this be a lovely surprise?  

Of course, this would be my favorite view.  A field of orange, yellow and red with the beautiful orange evening clouds rolling in.  Thanks for coming along with me!  

Monday is always an awesome day.  The beginning of a new week!  

This Monday is two fold.  It is also a Federal holiday which means no mail and yet the stock market is open and trading today.   

Just when you think you have it all figured out, they confuse us with what is open and what is not open.  

They confuse us with AI and what is real and what is not real.  

So let's just go out, take a ride and make this an AWESOME day!  

Caturday is here!  The weekend has begun, well, for those who get up early anyway.  As a baby, my son got his days and nights mixed up and they are still that way!  

I have a special delivery for you from FedEx.  I can tell you are "chancing" one eye to see what it is!  

Do you know how good pumpkins are?  If your dog has an upset stomach give them canned pumpkins.  I always keep a can or two on hand.  

Did you know that cows, deer, chickens, ducks, etc. all love eating pumpkins?
