TGIF. I really did get several things done today, trash & recycle have been picked up, both of us have showered, I watered plants (already mid 80's) and hubby trimmed a tree with new pole saw.
I just have to share... My granddaughter, Nicole, is an 8th grader, she plays volleyball. Thursday, her team beat the other team 25-0. One girl on her team served the entire game. Have you ever heard of that? We are so proud of the team she is on this year. They won the weekend tournament a few weeks ago.
Anyway, I am so proud of her and winning 25-0 is something she will always have to remember.
Then, the first person I met on the Hill was Cricket in 2008. She passed away many years ago and is still having a "Woo Hoo" party with Jesus every day. But she sent me a cutting of the Angel Trumpet plant in her front yard.
And so every time the one I have blooms, I know she is watching out for me.
So now I am off and running to share my smile with everyone I see. And yes, we are going to be near record setting temperatures of low 90's.
HI NANCY, I SURE HOPE YOU SLEEP BETTER TONIGHT THAN YOU DID LLAST NIGHT I DON'T LIKE THOSE KIND OF NIGHTS AT ALL. BEST TO GET UP AND DO SOMETHING INSTEAD OF LAYING THERE TOSSING AND TURNING. I AM LUCKY MOST NIGHTS !!! TAKE CARE NOW AND SLEEP TIGHT. HUGS, MOE
Yesterday was a very busy day. What did I accomplish? Lots! How about you? Doesn't this weather just make you feel good enough to get lots done?!
So let us get out there today and make a joyful noise! Share with others the happiness that is in our heart. I can just see you now...
Oh wait, that looks like me singing. All I can say is that it is a good thing you can only see me and not hear me. And here is another picture of me...
HI NANCY, HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE WEEKEND . NICE THAT DAVID WILL GET YOUR GROCERIS. I HATE TAKING THE TIME TO PUT THEM ALL AWAY. TAKE CARE AND HAVE A GOOD DAY. HUGS, MOE
Thankful Sunday! Be sure to read the bulletin that I posted that Dove (Sue) shared with me.
Boy, if we could just bottle a day like today. We started at 43° this morning and should be in the mid 70's again today. I like fall when the temperatures give us a break from the 90's and 100's ... but there is nothing like Spring when new life starts to appear and I know we are changing our time for more daylight.
So, I'm off to enjoy the last part of this weekend and see what hasn't happened yet. Hope you are doing the same as the Blessings & Hugs are being sent to you!
It is Friday and the weekend is in sight. The winds are slowly shifting from S to W and soon N. We are 78° now and "supposed" to be in the 40's for 3 nights in a row. Then a week of 50's for lows and upper 70's for highs. It will sure be nice weather for the last weekend of the Texas State Fair.
In just two weeks we will "fall back" and it will be dark by 5 pm. I really hate falling backwards. Wish we could leave the time change in the "spring forward" mode forever.
So are you almost ready for next weekend? My girls would NEVER stand for this. Well, if they knew a treat was coming they might.
I have done my part. I have changed from Pumpkins to Bats. This picture doesn't do it justice because they change colors from iridescent blue to iridescent purple. Bats are really good creatures.
Share your smile.
The wind just changed to the North and blew stuff in the entryway to the floor.
Or the bats knocked it down. I just can't decide.
But Blessings and Hugs are wished for you this weekend.
GLAD YOU GOT OUT ON WEDNESDAY NANCY AND THAT YOU GOT YOUR FLU SHOT TOO. OURS ARE NOT YET AVAILABLE UP HERE BUT WILL GET IT AS SOON AS THEY COME IN. HOPE YOU HAVE A REAL NIDE FRIDAY AND A GOOD CATFISH LUNCH. !!! HUGS, MOE
The rain is gone and it is a misty, dreary day. We are still a little warm and humid but cooler temperatures are promised for us in the next week. Tropical Depression Pamela gave us 2" but areas (Kyle Kid included) got up to 5" of rain.
This is the perfect weather for a nap even though I rarely take them. My Hubby would say every day is a perfect day for a nap.
I just don't seem to have much "get up and go" today. But alas, we have errands to run. So I best be getting in gear.
good-morning, been really busy the last few days. taking advantage of nice days to get all of my outside stuff done before it gets cold out. hope all is well with you and you are enjoying this fall season..marykay

Everyone in Texas is talking about me... I am on the news a lot. OK, I am also getting a lot of text comments from my friends too... troublemaker, dangerous, crazy, wreck havoc, naughty, go somewhere else...
Now come on, is that fair? We are getting a light shower right now but we are promised rain tomorrow. They should all be thanking me, right?
Just wait until tomorrow. Ok, I am working tomorrow so enjoy Taco Tuesday and Enchilada Wednesday. I'll be back soon so share your smile with everyone you encounter because the sun will soon be shining again.
I am so enjoying fall and all of its beauty. We even had our 1st frost on the roof tops this morning. A smile came on my face and a twinkle in my eyes. October is always full of surprises.
I am enjoying at the moment some , yes your reading it right, some eggnog flavored New England Coffee that is a holiday edition. A new flavor for me and I must say this is going to be a keeper.
HI NANCY, HAD A GREAT bIRTHDAY, FRIENDS TOOK ME FOR A TTHANKSGIVING TURKEY DINNER, WAS SO GOOD AS I DIDN'T COOK ONE THIS YEAR. 1ST TIME IN 20 YEARS I DIDN'T COOK FOR THANKSGIVING. HAVE A GREAT DAY NANCY. HUGS, MOE
Monday is half over, but I have a question. Does anyone else have strawberry plants? I have 4 of them right now. Three are in hanging baskets and one in a regular pot. Two of them are hanging side by side.
I just ate two big tasty strawberries off of this plant last week and would you look at all the blooms and new strawberries growing. This crazy plant has been giving me strawberries for about 6 months.
I just wondered if anyone has any experience with strawberry plants and why this one plant is so prolific when the others are not. I even gave a couple of plants to a friend earlier this year. All four of the plants I have are putting off babies.
Nancy, we got 6/10" rain as the storm came through last night! Yippee! Might get more starting tomorrow.
