HI NANCY, I DO LOVE THE AUGUST WEATHER MOST OF THE TIME BUT DON'T LIKE HOT TEMPERATURES. WE MAY GET SOME RAIN ON THURSDAY OR FRIDAY AND IF LUCKY ON BOTH DAYS. HOW GREAT THAT WOULD BE . LIVE IN RAIN FOREST HERE BUT NO RAIN FOR ALMOST 2 MONTHS NOW.. TAKE CARE NANCY. HUGS, MOE
We had to run to town today to Ace Hardware for some bolts. Hubby is replacing fence pickets on a gate he built 15 or more years ago. So naturally we stopped on the way home for TACOS. Now that our grazing is over, it is on to other things.
Did you say it was August? We started at 69 this morning and are only at 84 now. Yes, we will be near 100 this Saturday and Sunday but for August today is unthinkable weather as you can tell by my expression!
Tomorrow I get to drive in traffic to take Hubby to get Laser surgery on his left eye. We are hoping it will clear up some of his blurry vision. Dallas traffic is always a flip of the coin as to how long it takes to get there.
So I will send you Blessings and Hugs for now and be back soon. Share that smile and I will share mine.
May your day bring calmmess to you and give you such joy within your heart as you do your daily duties. For me at the moment I am having a spot of flavored neapolitan from Good&Gather. It has a chocolate, vanilla and strawberry flavor.
May you enjoy your Aug summer day. My thoughts are thinking of the fall season as one sees corn on the cob for sale. Do have a glorious day! Smiles Gloria
Here we are in August already and I don't even know where the last few days have gone. I got the yard mowed Sunday afternoon. We got 8/10" rain Sunday during the night. I also got fresh Hummingbird food put out in all 3 feeders.
The flowers, bugs, birds, grass, everything is so happy today. This weekend we will be back to near 100 but we are grateful to God for all his blessings.
Don't forget to share your smile today. Now off to vacuum and mop this dirty house. Feel free to come over and help as you are always welcome here.
It has been a busy day and someone is napping. Hubby had a chiropractic appointment early. Then we went about 20 miles to Herb Mart to buy a bunch of NAC (being pushed out by Big Pharma) and on over another 10 miles to the Pond & Pump shop. Back in Rockwall, we went to Lowe's for fence pickets. Even stopped at Schlotzsky's drive thru before we made it home.
Don't know how I got on the cat theme... but might as well run with it. We visited on the phone with our friends in Lubbock over projects we both have going and how tired we all are today. They had their garage floor refinished last year and are now getting their back patio areas done today.
The surface is not slippery and is going to look awesome around the koi fish pond and the covered area where they eat which is a big patio off of their shop. They are having 20-30 people over for a class reunion pre gathering party outside next weekend (very small graduating class many years ago).
Ok, by the time I get this posted, the weekend has started! So nap time is over and I missed it. Hope you get to relax or get to go out and have some fun for the weekend.
