This morning, Ger and I found our last butterfly had eclosed. We left the male butterfly in the mesh enclosure for about four hours before releasing him. He was very energetic and first flew to our holly hedges before flying off to rest high in my neighbor's tree. It was exciting to have three caterpillars emerge at the end of their metamorphosis into three healthy butterflies. We released one female and two males.
We have had rain every day for a week. Everyone is trying to work in getting their lawn mowed between showers/storms. I was fortunate to get mine done. Sun is shining now but very chilly out. This has been the longest spring. Farmers have yet to start getting crops in. Enjoy your weekend, whatever your weather : ) Hugs, Nancy
Hello my friend & hope all is well . Had a strong storm come in last night with a light show,sound effects with 2 1/2 in. rain . Clearing today but more rain for all of next week . hope it gets dry enough to cut the yard .Tornado touched down about 30 miles N.W. of us causing some damage & flooding around the area.Sure hope you miss any bad stuff.Enjoy your weekend & take care....George
I hope your week has been kind to you while counting your blessings. This week went by fast doing this and that and that and this . We will have a few rain showers for the next several days so the grass will become greener and start to grow . I really do like that the smell of that first cut of grass along with spring showers. It has rained every day this week. Farmers haven't begun to plant and it is getting a little late. Just praying for some sunshine and breezes to dry things up! It's a muddy mess around here. Take care and enjoy your Friday!
