We have had some cooler starts to our mornings with temperatures reaching the mid to upper 80's. However, Fall is not coming to stay in Texas any time soon. We will be in the mid 90's for a while.
Rain will also be scrace again for us. They told us to keep the hoses out and water those plants.
We can't put our hats away just yet. The sun will be beating down on us as we are giving plants a drink every couple of days.
So we will continue to enjoy each day that unfolds before us and give thanks for all our blessings.
Afternoon Cheryl - I've had a busy day myself. Honey started us off with a ham, pepper and onion and cheese omlet - it was good as it's been a while since he made that. Since I got up early this morning I laid down for a short time - my eyes were tired and hurting - did too much reading this morning. Got up and went to the doc as I had an appointment only to find out when I got there it was next moneth!!! Oh my - and I called a week or so ago to find out when it was and I could have swond the gal said this month. Oh well from there Rich took the truck to get a bath then we went to visit a friend in rehab. he's one of the guys who we go out to dinner with on Thursdays - he's 91 or 92 and hasn't really been well in a while but we thought we were gonna loose him. Afte that we stopped to see a new store that opened and they had a combo ice cream parlor and pub, a florist with odds and ends and an outfitter store. We got ice cream and saw a man who we knew while there. What are the coincindences? Now will have the leftover stuffed peppers for dinner a little later on. Have a load of jeans in the wash. So that's been my day. Glad you got to have dinner with your hubby, that's always a ncie thng. Have a good rest of the day, my friend. Hugs, Wendy
Yes, we have 3/4 acre for a reason! We don't want to hear what the neighbors are saying, let alone thinking. OK, I love mowing too!
Apple's new iOS update is now available. I have always been the "go to" person for all my friends as far as Tech Support (George, I miss you). However, the older I get, the less sure I am that I can figure all this new stuff out. So, if you hear me screaming... I updated our iPhones and iPads.
Nothing could be more true. But then there is no better "Welcome Home" than from a dog either (or 4 of them).
I think even the dog can figure out the iPad faster than I can do it now. Let me know if you updated your Apple products or not already.
Do you share your deepest and darkest secrets with anyone special like a spouse or a friend or in prayers?
The moon is just as important as the sun. It takes both for the plants to grow. After days of rain and darkness, how wonderful does the sunshine feel to you? And how much do we enjoy the night when it is time to lay down and rest?
I don't remember reaching for the sun... but we do reach for the stars and the moon! Ok, last one for a while...
Have you ever wondered if the moon is at the end of the road? Exactly where is it and where does it go?
There are thousands of clever pictures of people holding the moon but I've never thought about drinking it.
Does the tree grow up to the moon or does the moon grow down to the tree? Which do you think?
The moon could be at the end of the railroad tracks! That is as possible as it being at the end of the road.
But I'll bet that all of you that have been to the beach at night really know where the moon likes to be the best of all. Kissing the edge of the water each night.
Evening Cheryl - My day started with only a feww sips of coffee when Richie's brother called and wanted us to go to lunch with him and his wife. Got dressed and hurried up and left. Took a lot of mine home with me as it was too soon for me to eat anything. Left there and went to the psot so they could have a few beers, but I didn't have anything. Not too long after I got home, I started dinner. made stuffed peppers - I used a very old recipe and t was still pretty good. Now watching the Sat. nite HBO movie - pretty good for a change. Have a good rest of the weekend, sis! hugs, Wendy
Are you up late at night? Do you go outside at night or do you go out on the town at night?
Do you look up at the moon and wonder who else is looking at the same moon?
My cousin and I often take pictures of our moon and share it with each other and say, "We are looking at the same moon."
Even though the scenery surrounding the moon or the colors of the sky may not be the same since we live in different states.
Sometimes we can't even see the moon because the clouds have moved in to obscure it.
Then at times, the moon looks so big and looks so close to us that we could just reach up and touch it.
While in another state, far away, the moon looks like it is a very long way off and that the stars are trying to outshine it. Which is your favorite moon?
The moon was so beautiful last night. I love that I can see it coming up through my living room windows. There was not a breath of wind after a warm and humid day.
I bet if you looked real close, you could see the cow jumping over the moon. Perfect weekend for high school football and homecoming for my grandson. Perfect weekend for College Football. Also a perfect weekend for tailgating at the Cowboys game!
