Here we are, another Friday; but not just any Friday. Only God is truly "good". I am sending extra blessings to you and your family this special weekend. May you reflect on the sacrifice for our forgiven sins.
Weather was just about perfect here yesterday temperature wise. I did break a slight sweat in the sun but the breeze made it nice. Today isn't bad either even though the clouds have moved back in. So working outside again today I should not get hot. Hope your weekend is exceptional too! Blessings and Hugs!
The rainbow last night at about 7:30 pm was the second one in two days, the 12th & 14th. Then we had marble size hail this morning at 8 am and marble size hail again as the cool front came through at noon.
The temperature dropped from 85 to 70. My car is in the garage and Hubby's car is under the carport. This morning it rained for about an hour and we had 1/2" and this afternoon we were right on the edge of the storm.
Do you see the horse head too? In a matter of minutes after the hail stopped the sun was back out and shining to make the most perfect spring day.
And the storms were off in the distance. We are so Blessed again and again. I hope you are having a beautiful Spring day too.
Hey Cheryl - how was your Tuesday? Mine was good despite having to get a shot in my eye. Things are still blurry but am managing. Started making spaghetti sauce before leaving for my appointment, so all I had to do was turn it on and let it simmer away. We like eating a bit later now that the light stays longer. It got up to 80 and honey turned on the ac - good thing as it would have been hotter than all get out in that kitchen with the sauce simmering away for hours. Rich tarted on an antibiotic and steroid yesterday and its kicking in already Meanwhile, he gave me his cold. Wish he'd share other things with me instead of his germs! Am so tired - hope I can make it for anotehr 2 hrs then I'll get my shower and go to bedl Have a beautiful day tomorrow - was 80 here and will be that tomorrow too. Hugs, Wendy
Have you ever colored eggs... fancy? How long has it been since you colored eggs at all? Me, forever! I can't even remember the last time.
This picture was from yesterday when we finished the main big bed in the center of the yard. We did 5 flower beds and used all 30 bags of mulch. Three of the beds had to be weeded or cleaned out before we could put mulch down. I will send a picture when all the cute things are put back in this bed. We did get the plastic taken off of the makeshift greenhouse and folder & put away for winter.
There is still so much more to be done. But it will be a little at a time now that the heavy lifting is done. My knees are SCREAMING and Hubby hurts all over. What a trouper he is and I am so blessed! Tornado Watch just issued and storms heading this way could have lime size hail.
Did you or have you ever done an Easter Egg Hunt? My DIL, Evelyn, did her first one Palm Sunday. There were different fields set up for different ages including adults. Wild and loud grown ups!
It wouldn't really be Easter without baby chicks now would it? We are getting ready for more storms. Today we are trying to get mulch put down in flower beds. 10 bags done and 10 more on the way. I'll let you know if we survive.
Hey Cheryl - how did your Palm Sunday go? Hope your day was peaceful and happy. Did you get to do any coloring today or was your day too busy? I spent the day mostly on the couch with a heating pad as I hurt my back cleaning yeterday - did too much. I'll have to cancel my PT tomorrow and maybe for Wednesday as I don't know when I'll feel better and I don't want to pay and not be abe to do what I'm supposed to. Rich had to pick me up last nite as I couldn't get off the couch. The heating pad and I have become good friends today. At least I can move a bit better today even if it is slow. Had leftovers for dinner - what a wonderful thing a microwave can be!! Hope you havea great new week. Hugs, Wendy
Still waiting for it to warm up enough to go outside. We started at 37° this morning. Yesterday the winds were 20 mph and tomorrow they are supposed to be 26 mph with gusts.
I sure hope your weekend is not as windy as ours. The grass has been so wet this morning that dogs feet have to be wiped or you get a wet lap!
Dog? What dog? I'm the Easter Bunny. I did see 3 bunnies in our front yard on the Wyze webcam this past week. And so begins all the Easter Egg Hunts. Have a fun weekend!
Do you know how good it feels to be home today? I have at least 3 big loads of laundry to get done. I am sure I have a list a mile long.
It is a chilly morning, only 60's for highs and so I probably won't go outside until late in the day. Perfect day to read a book. Besides, the weekend will be in the 80's.
You are invited to come on over! Even stay for the weekend. I promised there won't be a lot of work going on here (and I know you believe me). Ok... toilets need scrubbing, many bags of mulch need spreading and just a couple of other things on my list like reading a book.
