I enjoyed your note - it's nice to hear how my friends spend their days. I also laid down this afternoon to rest my eyes as they were huritng and I fell asleep. Woke up and I was alone and I go something to eat around 3. Rich came home as he went to the dump and they were cosed so he went to another but they were cosed also. turns out they are all closed on Thursday's at 2. He also went to pich up his scripts that was ordered by the hopsital when he went in the other day due to pain in his stomach area. No deffinate diagnosis but they hare him on Tyleno and Motrin and one other pill for 3 days. We went out to dinner tnite to a place that has cabbage, ham, boiled potatoes and cornbread for $6.99. Rich had a beer and I had water and the bill was less than $20. They have this every Thursday. We couldn't eat it all so we brought it home and we'll have it tomorrow before going to the Moose. Sorry to hear about your hubby's accident. Hope he has good insurance or that the company pays for everything and pays for his lost time. Sure hope the PT works - keep me posted on his progress. Have a great nite, hugs, Wendy
I am getting everything ready for work tomorrow. We had a trace of rain just before daylight and another trace of rain mid afternoon. It might have totaled 1/10" but it kept our temperatures in the low to mid 80's today. I'll try to post a bulletin before I leave in the morning!
Let's start this middle of the week off right! Coffee and a wonderful view!
I am hoping with the cooler weather and possibility of rain, that some of my almost dead plants will start to bloom again.
The cooler temperatures do make for a more beautiful sunrise. A few days ago, I looked up and it was brilliant outside but by the time I got there with my camera, the colors had faded some.
It has been a very long time since we have seen a misty morning. However, in Texas we gladly look forward to every drop of moisture.
Anyway, I hope you have a Blessed Wednesday and enjoy the rest of this week. I will be working on Thursday! Thank you for your friendship! Fategrandma
Good afternoon my friends. Its a rainy day here. We have a little over 2 inches so far. Its been raining here since sometime last night. Its supposed to do this most of the week. What a blessing it is and with much cooler temperatures. This rain is making me sleepy. I've been working on another Lego project that we got at Target in Oklahoma City on Friday. I worked on it most of the afternoon yesterday and its a Botanial Garden Lego Bird of Paradise flower. So far I have gotten the bottem part done witch is the pot. Its a lot of work. Well I shall quit rambling on about stuff and go and get my clothes folded and put away. Enjoy the rest of your day and I'm hoping its cooler where you live. Take care and hugs, Cheryl
Tuesday cuteness! Saw this cute graphic and thought it looks so much like the new puppy my friends in Lubbock just picked up Saturday.
Meet Rosie! They have been waiting about a year for the conception and birth. Then they got to pick the one of 6, 3 boys & 3 girls, that they wanted.
Nicole and Michelle came over with my son, Wayne, and DIL, Evelyn, on Saturday afternoon. They all 4 get their haircuts in FATE.
Wayne and I sat outside on the patio filming the 15-20 hummingbirds in the backyard. We loved watching them fly with their tail spread out and the males red throats in the sunshine. These two are females.
This Hummingbird is showing off his tail feathers. You can see the white at the bottom of each one.
There are 3 hummingbirds in this picture. One you can almost see the red throat. When the sun hits them just right, the red is brilliant. Counting my blessings one by one.
We went to the American Legion today to celebrate 9/11. We missed the Patriot Riders who started their ride around 10 and ended up there about an hour or so later. Tehy were gone by the time we got there, but we stayed and had something to eat and drink and our friends showed up a bit later. Did you do anything to remember 9/11 Cheryl? The day passed and we spent a quiet time at home - watched part of the football game tonite, but turned it off after a while. Hope you had a good day. Have fun with your Lego project. Hugs, Wendy
Oh yes! I am smiling! Saturday was so wonderful! Have I told you how much I love THE Texas Longhorns?
I am so thankful that that game is over AND that we won. They (Alabama) put us in the top sections for our fans and our BAND out of revenge. At least that is what the article said.
We are now looking at cooler temperatures and the possibility of rain for a few days. Besides, the Cowboys won a game too. So who wouldn't be smiling today?
I know it is time for me to shut up, get outta here and get on with the week with a big smile just as I do every day, win or lose. Counting my blessings!
Hi Cheryl - how is your Sunday going? It's a really nice day here - in the mid 80's and sunny. The thunderstorm we had yesterday has cooled things off nicely. Of course we still have the AC on. Richie's brother left his big boxer with us yesteday when he went to Jersey - he'll be back Monday as she has to go back to work on Tuesday. Can you believe it's 9/11 Monday. Time to put the flags back out down the drive and around the house. Seems I just did it and took them down the other day. Oh well, it's worrth it and makes our yard the prettiest in the the neighborhood. The hurricane will miss us , but will bring high tides tup the coast to New England. Have a good rest of the day. Hugs, Wendy
Good afternoon and Happy Labor Day. Are you doing anything for today? We aren't. Just a normal day here as Tony had to work. I went shopping for the things we needed this week. Walmart wasn't to bad. Its a hot and breezy day here. Its 100* and feels like 97*. I took out the trash a little while ago and the heat is awful with the wind. Feels like a blow dryer going outside. Well take care my friend and enjoy the rest of your day. Hugs, Cheryl
Good to hear from you Cheryl - that sure is hot where you live. It's been reaching a daytime high in the low twenties (high sixties where you are) which is really nice. Leaves are falling & that's too early to suit me as I know what's coming next - that white stuff. Bye for now, Loads of Love, Donna.
