Let's go! We are heading in the right direction. 105°-107° on Friday and then cooler weather and possible rain heading our way!
Hopefully it means the end of summer and 100+ weather is coming to an end. We want to replace this bright sunshine and sunglasses too.
We want to get out the umbrellas for a while instead even if the sun peeks through on some days.
Now I am not one to carry an umbrella even though I do have 2 in my car. FYI, I don't wear a jacket of any kind either. Don't know where that came from!
After all, anything will do to keep a little of the rain off your head and then there is getting the wet umbrella back in the car.
However, if you need an umbrella, I will gladly get it out and share it with you. That's why I carry it in the car. It is just what friends do for each other.
Evening Cheryl. Was hot here today 96 and high humidity. I stayed in all day in the AC. Did go out later in the evening to take down the flags from the drive and around the hosue that I put out for Labor Day. Do it for certain holidays - next will be Flag Day. Was gonna go to a Moose meeting tonite but Rich went to an FRA meeting and y friend didn't do as she wasn't feeling good since she overdid her PT today. So I stayed home - I only attend theh general meeting and I didn't think it was worth it. Hate half sandwich of chicken saldad I made the other day. Rich came home with a few peices of pizza but wasn't in the mood for that. Hope you have a nice nite. Hugs, Wendy
Whoa! What a way to start a Wednesday! Is there anything more beautiful than the beach? Where else would you choose to go today?
Even though I am not much of a water person, a trip to the lake is always beautiful too. Which do you prefer? They are both so beautiful, each in their own way.
How about a trip to the mountains where we can find a cler, cool stream and watch the colors of fall as they start to change? Are you up for that?
There is nothing like a waterfall even if there are no other colors but the rock that surrounds it. Oh! and the sounds it makes cascading down!
We might be lucky enough to see a couple of moose wandering down the stream with the mountains in the background surrounded by the colors of Fall as the evening shadows start to appear.
Let's end the day with a full moon as it reflects on a stream that is slowly rippling as it makes its way downstream. It has been a perfect day! Thanks for coming along with me, my friend.
I kept trying to find a graphic for Monday... and then I'm like wait, yesterday was Monday and today is already Tuesday; tomorrow is hump day.
No wonder time flies by so fast. The days, weeks, months and years just keep getting faster and faster. Sit back and enjoy the view.
If you do get out and about, be sure to share the love, just sprinkle it wherever you go every day. Then it will come back to you tenfold.
We also win when showing love to others. If you see someone who needs help, stop what you are doing and help them. It may take some effort on your part or take away from your day, but it will be a big win for you both.
Grab hold and ride the winds on a cloud and see where the Holy Spirit leads you and what Blessings you will encounter. It may be obvious right away or later on down the road but the trip will be worth it.
Blessings upon blessings forever and a day from my heart to yours!

Sunday morning, slight breeze with clouds around but no rain for us.
I think I lost another rose bush (this is NOT my rose, but I wish it was).
Then the Blessings came down from Heaven. We got 1/2" in this downpour and another 1/10" during the night when our electricity was off for 2 hours.. Thank you all for the prayers that were answered.
Hope you are enjoying today as it's the beginning of the 3 day holiday weekend. I put the flags down the drive and around the house. It looks so nice. Was a beautiful 83 degree sunny no hummidity day - couldn't have been more perfect. Made chicken salad out of the chicken I roasted the other day then started making chicken soup for dinner - it was so good. We have enough for another dinner or lunch for a couple days. Took the frame of the potty chair I got when I was discharged from having my hip replacement, over to my friend who just had her knee replaced. They have a low standard toilet and I'm sure this will help her get on and off as it goes over the toilet. Hope you had a good day and will have a nice two days more. Hugs, Wendy
Evening Cheryl. Didn't do alot today but did go out to dinner with his brother and wife - we ate Italian - i had stuffed shells and Rich ate ravioli. I took one of my two shells home with me. his brother and wife had steak sandwiches. We went tothe Moose last nite for butter beans and cornbread, but they weren't really that good, as they were too soupy and not many beans and ham in them. And several people complained as we did. She had knee replacement today so I doubt she'll be there tomorrow nite and if they can't find anyone to cook tomorrow nite (the regular woman will be off) then no one eats there. We'll go to the VFW and eat - there menu is pretty good. Enjoy the nite and have a good Friday. Hugs, Wendy
Yep, August is gone but not summer - not yet. Your page is pretty Cheryl. We had the remnents of the storm blow thru here last nite but it wasn't as bad as the weather folks predicted - not in our area anyway. But it sure cooled down quite a bit. I wore jeans to go out to eat with Richiie's brother and his wife and I'm glad I did. We stoped at the CPOA club and it was a bit chilly in there. Have a peaceful nite. Hugs, Wendy
Thursday always produces a smile because the weekend is in sight. This is the last day of August. Are you ready for a new month? I will be working tomorrow to start September off right.
We have survived the last six weeks of heat and we hope to say goodbye to it along with the month of August.
We are ready to welcome a new month, a new season and new colors into our lives.
I am ready for flowers to be blooming again but first we need rain and lots of it.
The Blue Super Moon has been beautiful the last 3 nights and I do love taking pictures of it.
I am ready and waiting with my camera phone charged. Miracles happen after a good thunder and lightning show with lots of rain.
Wednesday is the new Friday; oh wait, that is supposed to be Thursday is the new Friday. I am grateful for each day that comes our way.
I have had such fun with the hummingbirds lately. Because of the heat, the lack of rain and flowers not blooming a lot, they are protecting the feeders.
They have really been showing off a lot and their colors are bright in the sunshine. Have you ever touched a hummingbird?
I have a tall plant on the patio about 3' from the feeders and they have begun to sit there to protect the feeder from other hummingbirds.
One afternoon when I went out to check to see how much food was in the feeder, a hummingbird zoomed in to sit on the plant and was about 15" from me. In the sunshine his throat was a bright yellow!
He looked at me eye to eye and when he realized I was standing there, you should have seen how fast he flew away. But looking at him so close, his throat was the most beautiful red. It is amazing all the colors that their throat will turn in different light. What a blessing to be so close even without a phone camera.
