Here we go, ready or not, Thursday is here. I work Friday, Monday and Tuesday. I will then be home full time starting Wednesday. Do you have plans to go anywhere or do anything fun?
I think I would enjoy a train ride through the rocky mountains but not sure I would trust most of the train tracks of today.
Now a nice quiet boat ride would be fun but I am not interested in running the rapids any time soon.
I do like water, but I am not a swimmer per say. I like fishing from the bank better than from a boat. I love sitting on a bank and listening to the sounds.
And few people love a good rain with thunder and lightning more than I do. Please Lord, let it rain soon all over the state of Texas. We need blessings!
Hi Cheryl I got out of the house today before noon - quite an accomplisment for me as I usually don't get drees till 12 noon some days. I wanted to go to the Market that was being held at the high school just a few miles down the road. It was yesterday too but I didn't know anythign about it. Rich found it on fb. But thee were only 3 or 4 booths there so I didn't even bother. On the ay back home, I stopped to get the newsletter from the senior center and ended up signing up for an ice cream social and a trip to a bakery and cafe at the end of the month where we'll buy lunch. Made cabbage, kielbasa, potao soup tonite for dinner. Found it on a cooking site online - Karen Jones. She has lots of other videos that look good. I'm always looking for new recipes. Have a good nite - think I'm gonna get some ice cream - think I have enough for one more time! Hugs, Wendy
Hi Cheryl Sorry I didn't leave a comment yesterday. it was 90 here today and hot. i stayed in all day and cleaned the second bathroom from top to bottem. That wa the one we were using while our shower wa being remodled and also the flooring. We lve the new shower now tht the doors have been hung - they are plain glass but so pretty. Now that other bathroom is just for guests - if we ever get any anymore. Went to the mens meeting last nite and they had chicken spaghetti, toast, salad, and strawberries and blueberries in juice with thinly sloced red onion. Unsuual but good. They had a lot left over so we took some salad and spaghetti home and had that for dinner tonite along with some of my tomato, cuke and onion salad. Glad you spent some time with your son and his girlfriend - I guess they don't live that far from you as I remember you saying you stopped there on your way home last week. Have a good nite and sleep well. Hugs, Wendy
Sunday sure came fast. After I watered the plants yesterday morning, we sat on the patio for a while. I got videos of a male hummingbird, a female hummingbird, monarch butterflies, a female cardinal drinking out of a bird bath, a male cardinal drinking out of the saucer under one of the plants and saw several other hummingbirds that were in the tree waiting for us to leave so they could come drink.
Now it is time to get ready for my last long week. I might be off on Thursday but it will be a busy week. I am getting excited but I know how much I will miss Kelly and all her wonderful clients.
So we will be sailing off into the sunset to a new adventure. On Wednesday, the 16th, I will not HAVE to wake up around 5 am. I don't ever set an alarm but I am always up early enough to get done what I need to do that morning before work.
Even though I have finished a couple of WONDERFUL Christian books lately, I have added many more books to my Kindle app on my iphone. I love getting free books every day and just can't not download them.
Thanks for hangin' in there with me and being such a treasured friend. My posts will be in the bulletins for a bit longer. But I always look forward to hearing from you and the pictures you share.
We had 90 degree weather too Cheryl. So much better than the high 60's earlier this week. It was a restful day for me - woke at 10, watch tv for a bit and relaxed, made lunch for us then went food shopping. Had to get a couple things to make dinner for tomorrow nite for the four of us, and of course we needed things too. Glad you are happy with the 90 degree day you had and that you thought it was cooler. Have a good nite's sleep. hugs, Wendy
Pretty page Cheryl - the green is so relaxing. We started off with rain this morning and into the afternoon. Finally the sun is popping out and there is a bit of a breeze. It only got up to 79 today which is very unusual for this time of year. Going to the Moose tonite with friends and family. The shower doors were installed today. Had to get up at 8 and he was coming at 9. Couldn't stay awake while he was here and had to go back to sleep in the guet room for 2 hrs. He left and I got up. It looks so pretty now that the curtain isn't there and you can see the whole shower thru the plain glass doors. Just hope I can keep them clean. Have a good rest of the day. Hugs, Wendy
That's nice that your son is engaged. A lot of folks just like to live together and not marry. I'm guessing your son and girlfriend are living together and since they are getting along so it was time to take the next step. It was another nice day with no humidity. I went out to pull a few weeds but not many as there are just too many and a lot of them have thorns. I'll have to take my foam pad out and get down on my knees - not sure my hip will like that and it might take me a long time to get back up! Went out to dinner at a place here in Camden and the special was prime rib so I got it. It was big and I only ate the tip. It came with a salad and baked potato - I couldn't even finish my salad and the dinner came. I brought it all home. So I'll have a big lunch tmorrow. Enjoy the rest of the nite Cheryl Hugs, Wendy
humidity isn't as bad here but dry 110+heat can feel like you are sticking your head in the oven. I hibernate during the summers and the neighbors rarely see me. ha We have a pool but it isn't used often. Too hot, and the pool feels like a sauna.
