It was another 88 degree day here but at 6:30 it's just lovely out. Gave the hummers the fres food - had to chase the bees and wasps away and watered the big plant I bought as it's under the overhang and didn't get any rain with all we had. It's slumping terribly and am hoping it gets revived. Had a f/u with my surgeon and said I'm doing fine and I didn't have to come back for a year. Then we went to a memorial for an auxillary woman who was liked by so many. The place was crsowded - we ate and stayed for a bit then left. Don't have to cook tonite so taht was a plus even though the food wasn't that great. There was a lot of different kinds of pastas, salads, meatballs ect. and desserts. I might have a snack later tonite though. Glad you got your electric back on - nothingg worse than trying to sleep when it's so hot in the house. Hugs,, Wendy
Sorry about your storms and no electricity but at least it came back on before the higher temperatures. We are 101° feels like 115° right now.

Good afternoon to you my friend. Its a hot 90* here and humid from the storm we had last night. It was a very very windy storm. Had some rain with it but now we have tree limbs to cut down that are laying on the ground. I don't know how high the wind was but it was awful. Now the sun is shining and its hot. Not much else going on. I took some pictures of the tree branches, I need to post them on here. Well take care my friend and enjoy your afternoon. Oh, and we were with out electricity until 8:30 this morning. Was kind of a warm night without any fans running. Many hugs to you. Cheryl
Good Morning Wednesday! My day off and I will be outside watering plants this morning.
I saw this picture and what memories it brought back of just over 20 years ago when we lived in South Texas. I had a 3' tub planter of Bird of Paradise with lots of blooms that I left behind when we moved.
What? You left a plant behind? Yes, I knew it would not survive in this colder weather. It still breaks my heart.
Now before that Texas sun beats down on us again today, I really need to water the plants I do have growing and wilting daily.
After all, they are all lined up waiting for a refreshing drink this morning. Then there is the grocery list that is waiting too.
Seems like everyone in this house wants to be fed... dogs and humans alike.
I've spent 4 hours on the phone with Comcast as I couldn't sign on to my account to get my email. They didn't help at all. I then went to my history and and clicked on a past link to Comcast and now I'm on. Wish I had thugth of that sooner. Hope I'm not locked out next time . Tomorrow Tuesday, I get a shot in my eye so nothing else will be happening. We were supposed to hti 90 today but only got up to 88 and we were supposed to get sever thunderstorms this evening but so far that hasn't happended - I think it passed over us and stay up North to Virginia. It's after 12:30 so unless it comes later, it isn't coming at all. Glad your hubby finally got the mower fixed. I'm sure the grasss is about knee high by now! Have a good Tuesday. Hugs, Wendy
Hello, thanks for the friend invite. Look forward to exchanging comments with you. Though a lot of times, due to working I don't get on here till the weekends. Fortunately starting this week I am on vacation from work so hopefully I will be on a little more often. Anyway hope you are having a nice Monday so far.. Take care, and enjoy your week~~ hugs, debijo
Sunday is here and I will be working on Monday and Tuesday. I was so busy on Saturday that I didn't get to visit each of you but I did post a bulletin.
So it is a new week and I am still playing catch up. Can you believe this is the last week of June and that half this year is over?
When it comes to housework and trying to get things done that I don't like doing, I always want to run away.
But then in the middle of grumbling, you look around and the Blessings just are all around you.
Something so beautiful is right there in front of you and it puts a smile on your face.
OK, it was only a flower and maybe a hummingbird too but they both put a smile on my face.
Glad you are having a nice day weatherwise Cheryl. It's in the low 80's here but has rained this morning and again this afternoon. We are going to the Moose tonite and hope it doesn't rain then. Not sure if we are gonna eat there or not. Have a good afternoon. Mine's been a lazy one - haven't done anything! lol. Hugs, Wendy
Afternoon Cheryl Quiet day here too. Got up late this mornng and ate breakfast at 2 this afternoon. I wanted Richie's homemade hash browns. We had little sausage links to go along with it and no eggs or toast. It's been a sunny day so far but breezy with a temp of 76 right now and a high of 79. Gonna make a meatloaf for dinner tonite with fresh made mashed potatoes and asparagus. It sure is ashame about the deaths of those that were on the submersible vessle that went down to see the Titanic. Don't think we'll get any more rain today unless it comes later this evening or tonite. Glad you are liking and enjoy the rain. Hugs, Wendy
Perms are nice Cheryl as you never have to mess with your hair. i had on once in my lefe and really enjoyed it I've never lived anywhere where there were tornados. Since I have been here in NC we had had watches and several months ago there was a tornado touched down and really did a number on a lot of homes. Maybe Jersey is a better place to live as we only get hurricans there for the most part.
Went with honey and his brother to a place about an hour away and met two other friends for lunch - had a nice time then we all went home. I dropped off my ring down there to see if they could stretch it a bit. Honey's brother swears by this place so I left it there. We are going that way Sat. but it won't be ready by then, but when it is, I'm sure his brother will pick it up for me an I'll pay him, as we see him at least once a week. I usually stay inside when it's really hot out and try to work in the garden earlier in the day, but don't know when I'll be able to get down and do anything this year. Have a good nite and happy summer. Hugs, Wendy
