Weekend is on the way!  It has been a nice Spring week for April.  

I am checking the ads for my grocery list.  As soon as I get that done, I hope to finish the book I am reading so I can start another one.  

After all, it is so much fun to travel and get totally lost in a good book.  

Just be in the moment, right inside the book.  You have done that, haven't you?  

Sometimes you can even feel the spray of the waves when you are reading a book!  

Now if I can just figure out which book I really want to read, to dive into and get lost.

What to do on a Thursday.  Dog days of summer, I mean spring.  Temperatures are up and down, BUT   

Every day is a new adventure.  Some days are just plain and simple.  Some days are exciting.  

More often us girls start out with a bad hair day.  Some days we can get it under control and other days it is like... who cares.  

I know we all have days that we just want to hide our head and take a nap.  Do not disturb me today.  

There are days when friends, family or spouses want to play a game of scrabble or some other nonsense game.  

Then there are the dreary days that the only thing to do is curl up in a chair with a cup of coffee and a good book.  What is your day like today and your favorite kind of day?

Happy Wednesday

I finally got my e mail straightened  out - I haven't gotten any for 3 days - some mix up on their part.  I can't get the lost e mails back.   Today was a nice day here  temps in the low 70s and sunny.  I went to the hospital to get blood drawn for the upcoming surgry.  I was supposed to go last Friday and forgot - forgot again yesterday and they left a 'reminder' on my voicemail.  Well at least that's done.  Go to my own doc tomorrow to get a clearance from him - it's all bs just to make money as he's the only doc that does this.  Honey brought back a couple paices of pizza and a few small wings from his lodge meeting tonite for my dinner so I didn't cook tonite.  Glad your house keeps you cool when the weather is hot - we aren't getting anywhere near that warm for a while.  I know what you mean about being worn out on some days when you have to do things.   We aren't young chicks anymore.  Sleep well tonite Cheryl.  Hugs, Wendy

Its windy and 46 here.

Hello Cheryl we had lots of excitement here Friday and Saturday on Friday there was a fire uptown at a business that has been closed for awhile  then on Saturday night there was a fire on our street a block away from our house and because the houses are close together 3 houses were gutted so we were without a landline phone and internet all weekend and yesterday at 5:00 we had phone and internet back and today we're getting caught up with our comments here Hugs Ceil

But if you don't get up and get out, you might miss something important.

Not everything is in black and white.  You might miss the colors of God's painting today.  

Thank you so much for making me smile and sharing your love.  

I love giving a compliment to someone I meet or even saying something nice over the phone to someone who helped me!  

Besides, it will bless you too.  Remember, things are returned to you in double or more.

Hello, this Tuesday and any other day of the week

How was your weekend Cheryl?  Did you do anything special?  Anything going on with you today?   I went out Friday to the VFW to have fresh burgers and fries, the girls from the auxillary made them.  They were so good.  Then went to the Moose with our friends.   Saturday we were at a 70 and 80's disco held in the hall of the VFW .  I couldn't dance due to my hip and the music as soooo loud but the food was good - all sould food and homemade.   We woudn't do it again though - my hip hurts now from sitting in the chair for so long and it was doing so good for the pat several weeks.  Doing nothing today - just the way I like it - quiet.  Did some things that needed to be done around the house and took out ground beef to make shepard's pie for dinner tonite.  Had sloppy joes last nite - they were good.  Hope you are enjoying this beautiful day.   Hugs, Wendy

Most of you know I love to take pictures.  But to capture the moon like that, you need the right camera.  

Even with a phone camera, it takes the right "eye" to "see" the right angle to capture the right picture.  

I also just like looking at pictures.  I came across this one that had a caption of the name of a plant.  This is a Double Angel Trumpet.  

A lot of you might not know that plant or remember the name Cricket.  She was the first person that asked to be my friend when I joined Not Over The Hill in 2008.  The above picture is her Angel Trumpet plant in her front yard.  

While Cricket is no longer with us on earth, her Angel Trumpet plant lives on at my home just as she lives on in my heart.  She would take cuttings in the fall and root them over the winter.  She sent me a couple of cuttings and I still have one growing in a tub.  It is inside our garage today because it is cold.  It has been pulled in and out (in warmer weather) of our garage so many times over the years (hundreds) and will soon be at home in our backyard in another month when the weather stays warmer.  

Every time I spoke to Cricket with all her health trials, she would say she couldn't wait to get to Heaven and have a "Woo Hoo Party" with Jesus.  I was blessed by her friendship and I am also blessed by your friendship.

I have said prayers like this.. wanting His blessing my way.  

And you never know who is looking over your shoulder.  It could be a dove flying by or an angel that you don't even see.  

Sometimes when things seem to go wrong, it could be that God isn't saying "no" but just "not right now".  

There are times when it is hard to have faith and not think that God isn't listening to us.  BELIEVE

Hi Cheryl - going to a 70 and 80's disco at the VFW - all you can eat and drink for the price of the tickets - $20/ea. Our friends are gong too so it should be fun.   Did a little weeding out front but there is so much more that needs to be done so it'll have to wait for another day.   Hope you are having great weather as we are.  Probably won't be able to send comments tomorrow as I have to cook and then go to dominoes but will be able to read any incoming mail.  Have a good rest of the afternoon and evening.  Hugs, Wendy
