It was 70 and just a little windy but with full sun. A beautiful day but I didn't get a chance to get outside. I woke up and wa still tired so went back to bed for a whie. really didn't do anything all day but fool around on the computer. Finally made dinner after being on the phone with my gran for about an hour. Made pork chops in the instant pot with gravy - had mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts with them. Have a great Saturday Cherly. Hugs, Wendy
I am on the lookout for Butterflies. I bet you know why too... because it means Spring is really here and warmer weather too. To see a butterfly and a reflection would really make my day because that would mean we got some rain too. I love that they are so unafraid that they land on us as well as plants. Do you see them at night? Happiness is seeing Butterflies!
Hello, I hope your day was wonderful, as you wish, and you had a wonderful time, happy, and full of happiness, full of peace, and lots of love, that your Thursday is super happy, with all my love , and friendship, Maria left you many big hugs, take care,
Interesting day for me - I went to the senior center to leave a flyer for a Spring Fling at the VFW April 1, and ended up filling hundreds of Easter eggs for Parks and Recreation's Easter egg roll also on the 1st. There were 2 other women who were filling them and when I went by there were 3 huge trash cans filled with eggs and a man was sitting there filling more with small chocolate balls. He'll be there for days doing that! I was there for 3 1/2 hours constantly bending over. I hadn't had anything to eat either so a fast food joint was just about next door so I got a cheeseburger and sweet iced tea. Came home and rested for a while and went to the Moose as our friends called and said they were in training for bartending and to come down if we wanted. So at 5 we went and stayed till 8:30 when they closed . We all went to dinner at a seafood place . Now I'll be in another rush to get comments done like I was last nite. Gonna be 80 tomorrow whoo hooo! Hugs, Wendy
Hello, I leave you my greetings, for this Wednesday. Have a great time, full of joy, and happiness, have a good time here, spring came with sun and heat, I prefer the cold, the heat, it's oppressive, it happens Have a great day, take care, I leave you kisses, and big hugs, Maria----
You were warmer than we were today Cheryl. Our high was only 57 but it was still nice. Saw the surgeon today about my hip replacement and it's scheduled for May 11. Not thrille about going under and the pain I'm gonna have but it'll be over with as opposed to all the time for the rest of my life. Got nothing to do tomorrow so I'll try to do some dusting - the place needs it as I've been so busy all the time I haven't had a chance to do it. I did sweep the kitchen floor tonite and changed the clock in the bedroom to the right time. About time right? Have a good nite - chat later. Hugs, Wendy
Pretty page Cheryl - nice job. Went to Sam's, tractor supply and dinner at Longhorns - all in Virginia Beach as they don't have a Sam's where we live. Had chopped steaks with onions and mushrooms, mashed potatoes and brocolli. It was really good. Came home and checked it all in then sat a relaxed. Glad your first day of spring was a good one. The temps here are still cold and freezing at nite. Gonna warm up to near 80 by the end of the week then get cold again. Have a good nite and a good Tues. Hugs, Wendy
I sure hope this is our last cold morning. I am almost ready for Summer, just 92 more days.
It may be cold here this morning but it is a beautiful day and the sun is shining. Welcome to a new season and a new week.
I want to go outside and put out hanging baskets and plant some new flowers but it doesn't take long before I am running back inside.
Meanwhile at Selma Park around the Amon G. Carter Lake, my precious Wendy, sent me a video of all the deer across from her front porch in Bowie, Texas. This is a still shot from that video.
So for now, I will have to be content looking at these flowers in front of the TV just waiting to get to go back outside.
Meanwhile the orchids, Easter cactus and anthurium, all fight for the little bit of sunshine peeking through the overcast of clouds begging for warmth to come through the window. I am waiting to see the butterflies and hummingbirds return. HAPPY first day of Spring!
