Happy Earth Day! My seeds are soft but haven't sprouted yet. I did get some pots ready to put them in and got another bunch of pots out of the storage building.
Even with high winds, spring flowers are blooming. Hydrangeas, Gardinas, BlueBonnets, Triple Iris, and Roses. And so many, many more... Hummingbirds are loving it!
So I am sending you Blessings and Hugs for the weekend ahead with our windows closed and air conditioner running as I am off to smile even if it is just at the Hummers!
Another chilly start to the day but things are changing. This week we will be in the mid to upper 80's and winds of 30mph with gusts for the rest of the week.
Now as someone who took Algebra, Trig, etc. a million years ago and as someone who still loves to work with numbers (excel) even today, I don't get the new stuff. How about you?
By sharing your smile, you can be a blessing and help someone else who might be dealing with troubles.
Many of you have seen this already but I still have to share my family. We had a great time yesterday. We ate Hard 8 BBQ (brisket, sausage, pulled pork, chicken, fried okra, beans, blackberry cobbler) and we had so much fun just visiting.
And of course, the first thing I had to do was put on new nails before I could leave the house. May not have makeup on, but I have to have nails done! I got pictures from several friends... grandkids with Easter bunny, flowers blooming, jokes. So do you have any pictures to share?
Whatever you do this new week, SMILE and share your smile with everyone you see.
I have actually had to water the hanging baskets. They dry out so fast in the wind and sun. But isn't this a glorious time of year.
In between working in the yard, I sit on the patio to rest and watch for hummingbirds. I can identify at least 3 different ones so far this year. Of course my favorite is the male with the black head and the ruby throat (especially when the sun hits him just right).
Now if I can just keep the dogs out of the flower beds and stop them from digging in the mulch. I find it everywhere. But then they look at us with those puppy dog eyes and I just go rake the mulch back into place.
I guess they are enjoying spring as much as we are as they run, jump, dig and bark at everything. So don't forget to share your smile.
Here we are, another Friday; but not just any Friday. Only God is truly "good". I am sending extra blessings to you and your family this special weekend. May you reflect on the sacrifice for our forgiven sins.
Weather was just about perfect here yesterday temperature wise. I did break a slight sweat in the sun but the breeze made it nice. Today isn't bad either even though the clouds have moved back in. So working outside again today I should not get hot. Hope your weekend is exceptional too! Blessings and Hugs!
The rainbow last night at about 7:30 pm was the second one in two days, the 12th & 14th. Then we had marble size hail this morning at 8 am and marble size hail again as the cool front came through at noon.
The temperature dropped from 85 to 70. My car is in the garage and Hubby's car is under the carport. This morning it rained for about an hour and we had 1/2" and this afternoon we were right on the edge of the storm.
Do you see the horse head too? In a matter of minutes after the hail stopped the sun was back out and shining to make the most perfect spring day.
And the storms were off in the distance. We are so Blessed again and again. I hope you are having a beautiful Spring day too.
