Have you ever colored eggs... fancy? How long has it been since you colored eggs at all? Me, forever! I can't even remember the last time.
This picture was from yesterday when we finished the main big bed in the center of the yard. We did 5 flower beds and used all 30 bags of mulch. Three of the beds had to be weeded or cleaned out before we could put mulch down. I will send a picture when all the cute things are put back in this bed. We did get the plastic taken off of the makeshift greenhouse and folder & put away for winter.
There is still so much more to be done. But it will be a little at a time now that the heavy lifting is done. My knees are SCREAMING and Hubby hurts all over. What a trouper he is and I am so blessed! Tornado Watch just issued and storms heading this way could have lime size hail.
Did you or have you ever done an Easter Egg Hunt? My DIL, Evelyn, did her first one Palm Sunday. There were different fields set up for different ages including adults. Wild and loud grown ups!
It wouldn't really be Easter without baby chicks now would it? We are getting ready for more storms. Today we are trying to get mulch put down in flower beds. 10 bags done and 10 more on the way. I'll let you know if we survive.
Still waiting for it to warm up enough to go outside. We started at 37° this morning. Yesterday the winds were 20 mph and tomorrow they are supposed to be 26 mph with gusts.
I sure hope your weekend is not as windy as ours. The grass has been so wet this morning that dogs feet have to be wiped or you get a wet lap!
Dog? What dog? I'm the Easter Bunny. I did see 3 bunnies in our front yard on the Wyze webcam this past week. And so begins all the Easter Egg Hunts. Have a fun weekend!
Do you know how good it feels to be home today? I have at least 3 big loads of laundry to get done. I am sure I have a list a mile long.
It is a chilly morning, only 60's for highs and so I probably won't go outside until late in the day. Perfect day to read a book. Besides, the weekend will be in the 80's.
You are invited to come on over! Even stay for the weekend. I promised there won't be a lot of work going on here (and I know you believe me). Ok... toilets need scrubbing, many bags of mulch need spreading and just a couple of other things on my list like reading a book.
Just caught the end of lightning about 1 am after the storms had passed. Early news last night reported one area that already had 12" of rain.
Our rain, downpour, lasted about an hour and we got 2". Last night we had our usual stream in the backyard. But this morning there wasn't even a puddle. We have been dry and are grateful for the rain. I love that it soaked right in.
I am a morning person and a night person. I love watching the sun come up every morning and listening for the "crack" of dawn, hurrying out to catch the colors that appear and disappear quickly. But I also love late night, watching the moon move overhead, feeling the cool breeze, and seeing millions of stars in the sky. What about you?
Good Morning/Afternoon debijo, thank you always...enjoy a nice cup of coffee no matter where or what time it is...wishing you a wonderful and safe day my dear friend

Guess what I saw yesterday and today? I cleaned out the feeders and put in fresh food and then it was nice enough, warm with not too much wind, to sit on the patio for a while. I have at least a couple of different hummers!
I am working Monday and Tuesday, so I have been extra busy this weekend working inside and outside playing catch up. Now of course, we watched Longhorn Baseball and Softball Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon too.
So stop by and I will be back by Wednesday to check on you again. After all, you are my favorite, next to the hummingbirds in my yard.
May you have a wonderful and blessed Sunday. Feels good to get a long weekend. I get one too. I have my 16-year-old granddaughter living with us since August. She will 17 this month. Wow! Time flies. But I get up each morning to see her off to school. The bus stops in front of our house which is great.
We have had a lot of high winds here in Victor, NY, and it killed our gazing ball and our little windmill. Bob and I have been out looking for windmills and found one we really like bought brought it home put it together it was so cute it had hen and rooster feeding and their little heads would pick at their play food. It was a bit loud but cute it lasted about 14 hours we had very high winds and the rooster broke. So took it back and went hunting for a new one. But then our gazing ball fell off its holder and smashed into a gillion pieces. So we have to get a couple of things. Yesterday we found a lovely gazing ball at Hobby Lobby, and today we found what we think will be a much better windmill than any we have had before. We have the gazing ball up but not the windmill yet, we want to paint part of it red, otherwise it is just black and won't show up very good, but it has to be put together first. It is 6 feet tall. Well that has been some of my adventurers. I hope youare doing great Debijo. Great to hear from you. Love and hugs Connie
