It has been a busy day and someone is napping. Hubby had a chiropractic appointment early. Then we went about 20 miles to Herb Mart to buy a bunch of NAC (being pushed out by Big Pharma) and on over another 10 miles to the Pond & Pump shop. Back in Rockwall, we went to Lowe's for fence pickets. Even stopped at Schlotzsky's drive thru before we made it home.
Don't know how I got on the cat theme... but might as well run with it. We visited on the phone with our friends in Lubbock over projects we both have going and how tired we all are today. They had their garage floor refinished last year and are now getting their back patio areas done today.
The surface is not slippery and is going to look awesome around the koi fish pond and the covered area where they eat which is a big patio off of their shop. They are having 20-30 people over for a class reunion pre gathering party outside next weekend (very small graduating class many years ago).
Ok, by the time I get this posted, the weekend has started! So nap time is over and I missed it. Hope you get to relax or get to go out and have some fun for the weekend.
Good Morning or Afternoon now! I have come into the computer room 4 times to start this message to YOU! I have also been outside 3 times to water wilted plants. Finally it is finished. It is so hot that I have to stop and come in to cool. How many days until Fall or Autumn? I know we are due a cool front and rain in a few days but everything may have melted by then.
In the meantime, what is there to do? I still don't have my hummingbird water bath made. I'm not even sure if they have food or if they are even in the area now because of the heat as it is not fun sitting on the patio to watch for them. But I'll try...
So, what are you doing to survive this day? You know the weekend is getting very close and I hope you have something planned. If you have a list, I hope you get something crossed off it.
Now what is for lunch? Oh, we are both too hot to eat. Guess I had better help hubby finish his project in the garage. He took down shelves and he is putting up a wire storage organizer on wheels.
Howdy, just making my rounds again. Hope you are doing well and enjoying your weekend so far. They always fly by way too fast. Our temps are warming back up to around 100 again, though it really doesn't seem to feel that hot. I guess due to the surrounding smoke from the fires here in Oregon the sun doesn't shine through as bright and hot. My vacation is over now, went back to work on Thursday (sigh) it was very hard to go back after having 3 1/2 weeks off. Anyway, you take care, enjoy the rest of your day and have a great week~~~ hugs, debijo
btw, thanks for the compliment on my page..
I know you enjoyed every minute of your almost 4 weeks off. That is awesome you had that much time off. Are the fires near you at all? I know even if not the smoke can be seen for miles and miles even to other states. So very sad all the fires in CA and Oregon and I guess in Washington state too. I can't even imagine. So sorry for everyone haveing to endure these. And then some parts of the country are having floods. There was some in my area recently. What a crazy time. Take care my friend and stay safe. Can't believe how fast this week is going. Big hugs, Jackie
That is kind of what we are doing with hubby's eye glasses doctor. We just dropped off our third prescription at the Optical Laboratory for new glasses. And next Wednesday, hubby will have laser surgery to remove a buildup on the implant in his left eye. We just keep taking another shot at getting glasses that he doesn't see double (Prism in glasses) and blurry and ... try again.
I was afraid he had gotten too hot yesterday when he was replacing and rewiring the septic water pump by braille. He has such a hard time seeing details like wires going together now. He is my SuperMan!
I am off to see what plants are wilted and in need of some water to perk up. Our temperature is only 96 but it feels like 107 right now. Sure hope you are cooler than that!
Here we are on a Taco Tuesday afternoon! The front, sides and back are hand watered. I was dripping so much you would have thought I got watered. So shower is completed and my nails will soon to be a different ColorStreet color.
Hubby goes back to the eye glasses doctor tomorrow. So I'm not sure what time I will be here. I always enjoy reading your comments and looking around your page and I do hope you enjoy your visit to my page.
Come back again soon. Please share your smile and make someone smile back at you!
Debijo, it would be very hard to go back after that long off!
Good Morning and may God's favor shine in your smile today and everyday! Sermons on TV watched and headed to watch more on the internet. What a glorious day the Lord has made! I love sharing scripture with my kids and grandkids. That is the legacy that I want to leave them.
So whatever your passion is, be sure you are sharing it with the world. Because you never know who is watching you and what you do every day. Or listening to what you say. Or reading your text. Look at it from a different perspective!
I hope you are smiling! Blessings and Hugs are coming your way. Thanks for being there for me and so many others in your life!
Come on over and stay a while. It is hot already! Yes, we are supposed to hit 100 today! I have already watered both sides of the house and the front yard. Hubby is working on straightening the scalloped bricks that border the flower bed in front. Plants are trying to push them over. Always something and for the most part, we love it!
I think I will head back out and trim on a tree for a while. I like making a mess and waiting for Hubby to clean it up. Again, you are invited over any time. There are always projects to be done. I did see a hummingbird getting a drink this morning so I still need to make the water fountain for them. So many things to do... so little time!
And don't forget all your dogs are welcome to come too and have a playdate while you are here helping us with a project or 10. Can't wait to see you!
I hope your day is going well so far and you have a great weekend! Last year I took one of the little wagons the kids left behind and made a yard decoration out of it. This one is not mine but simular to it!
