OK, so I retired over 5 years ago and my Financial Advisor and friend since 7th grade told me if I wanted to keep busy I should be an On Call for Edward Jones. So I applied and was hired. The first year was a learning curve doing the training and putting my name out there. I don't remember how much I worked that year but I have worked at 10-12 different offices over the years. The second year I worked just under 1000 hours. The third year over 800 hours. I had over 200 hours before covid hit last year and still ended up with amost 350 hours. After covid started I only worked at one office, my home branch, and decided that I was tired of traveling 20-30 miles one way to different offices in traffic anyway. My home branch is 8 miles one way.
This morning my phone rang and Kelly, FA of my home branch, called and asked if I wanted to work because she was sending Tisha home sick. The picture above is how my day went! I know I am working tomorrow and was already scheduled to work on Wednesday. I might work the whole week and maybe longer. Time will tell. So if you don't hear from me, please don't panic. I'll check in when I can. Edward Jones is a great place to work part time or full time... Thank goodness I have a wonderful Hubby that can help at home, even though he doesn't know how to turn the computer on let alone pay bills online.
HI THER DEBIJO, HAVE BEEN THINKING OF YOU AND WONDERING HOW YOUR TRIP TO THE CASINO WENT? I HOPE YOU WON SOME MONEY AND THAT YOU HAD A GOOD TIME. WILL BE THE FIRST TRIP OF THE NEW YEAR. HOPE THE ROADS WERE IN GOOS SHAPE AND THAT YOU HAD NO TROUBLE ALONG THE WAY.
I BET YOU WON'T WANT TO GO BACK TO WORK TOMORROW. SO NICE THOUGH THAT YOU HAD THOSE FEW DAYS OFF TO UNWIND.
HOPE YOU HAD A NICE CHRISTMAS DEB. MINE WAS VERY QUIET SON HAD CHRISTMAS HERE ON THE EVE SO NO ONE HERE ON CHRISTMAS DAY. I JUST DON'T FEEL LIKE i HAD A CHRISTMAS AT ALL. THE ONLY REMINDER IS THE TREE STILL UP WITH LIGHTS ON. HATE TO TAKE THAT DOWN BUT WILL HAVE TO GET AT IT IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. I REALLY DON'T EVEN FEEL LIKE I HAD SPRING OR SUMMER WHAT WITH THIS COVID STILL GOING ON. SURE HOPE SOMETHING CAN COME UP AND GET RID OF IT . IT REALLY HAS TAKEN A TOLL FOR SURE.
MY CAR IS NOT DRIVABLE, AT LEAST I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE IT AS THE TIMING CHAIN NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND I DON'T WANT TO BE STUCK ON THE ROAD WITH THE CAR JUST ALL OF A SUDDEN DOESN'T MOVE. GOING TO BE COSTLY FOR SURE. I CAN'T GET IN THE GARAGE TILL THE 11TH SO ANOTHER WEEK TO GO AND WILL HAVE TO WALK IF I GO ANYWAHERE. THAT IS NOT EASY FOR ME AS I HAVE A TERRIBLE TIME WITH MY HIPS.AND HAVE TO STOP EVERY FEW STEPS. ENOUGH OF MY GRUMBLING.

Well, it sounds like you are going to have a nice quiet Christmas with just your son. His girlfriend won't be joining you as well? I know it is hard for families this year due to the COVID, but seems most are having get-togethers anyway. Here in Oregon I think we are allowed a small group of 6. At least that is what it was for Thanksgiving. Haven't kept up much on the new lately. Anyway, I will just stay home and have a jammy day.
I actually got 4 days off can you believe it??? I am so relieved to have some extra time off. Though I can't seem to get very motivated today. Haven't done a darn thing yet. Need to get my daughter's things wrapped up for tomorrow. I took my mom her gifts after work yesterday.
Well, it is certainly nice that you got a little snow, hope it stays around for Christmas day, wouldn't that be nice to have a white Christmas. No snow here yet. Last few nights it has been cold around 27. Been having a little fog also. All in all it really hasn't been too bad yet, though we still have a couple of months to go. Already looking forward to Spring.. You know how I love the cold weather lol..
