Happy Day after Caturday! Sunday is one of seven of my favorite days! Do you have a favorite day of the week?
Right now Fall is a favorite time of year for many people! I am a Summer girl but it has been a long hot summer with no rain!
So yes, I do enjoy the cooler temperatures and Mother Nature teasing us with clouds and a drizzle of precipitation every now and then. But for the most part, give me longer days. Although we had a heat index of 105-109° yesterday.
As Spring comes to an end, Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrush flowers are in full bloom with the promise of longer days and more bright colored flowers. That would be the beginning of summer!
Yes, I am a sunshine girl who loves watching the sun come up before 6 am and setting around 9 pm. I will concede that Fall is a nice change but I am already dreading the season that comes next. I don't like the cold, coats, sweaters, and all the things that come with Winter either.

Where did the week go? It is Saturday and this evening we play the Baylor Bears! I am always ready for some football or college baseball.
Most of our hummingbirds have migrated to South Texas now. We do still have some that stay pretty much most of the year. Have you ever seen a rare Albino of any species?
I even found this video of a rare Albino Hummingbird. Also my girlfriend in South Texas, Judy, shared her video of all my hummingbirds that are now at her feeder over 400 miles away. I was grateful that they had a new home for a while on their layover!
Happy Fall? We will have a heat index between 105-109° today and yes we still need rain without the damaging storms. But there are always lots of blessings each day and a long list of things to be thankful for too. Thank you for being my friend!

good morning Pal, are you still getting some of Ophelia? I saw on the news that much of the east coast states were to be wet today and tomorrow. Was your dinner good from the Lyon's club? How nice that your friends could bring you the meals. We used to have a full blooded Lab and he did NOT like water at all. I always thought that was funny too. Lulu is probably spoiled like he was. My high efficiency washer died yesterday and I ain't even mad about it. lol. I've been looking for a reason to get rid of it because I hated it. It was NOT highly efficient I can tell you that much. We'll be shopping for a new one tomorrow and sure hope I can find a plain old fashioned one with the agitator in the middle. Happy weekend!
Just thought I would answer your question. My daughter and her 2 boys moved to Utah this summer. She isn't married to her boyfriend yet. But they are living together and the boys like him. Hopefully I will get to see a picture of the boys with baby Charlie. Yes, we do need to take a trip to Utah, but with the weather being different in Utah, like colder, then here I don't know when would be a good time to go. They will be getting snow sooner than we will so that is a big deal. We are going to South Texas the second weekend in October to see the eclispe. We aren't staying long there just a few days, then back home as the hubby has a doctor appoinment in Oklahoma City that same week to see how his shoulder has improved from doing physical thereapy. He just started therapy this morning. I'm hoping it didn't hurt him to much. I hope you don't get to much bad weather from the hurricane. Take care. Cheryl
It's a rainy day here as the tropical storm is supposed to start tonite and the rain wasn't supposed to come until midnite. We are going out tonite to the Moose and friends are bringing us a pork chop dinner from the Lyons club near them. I've already taken a shower and washed my hiair and have some jeans in the washer - hopfully they can finish washingand be done in the dryer in an hour. Need to get a few more ccomments out before I get ready. Congrats on your new grandbaby Cheryl. You and hubby will have to take a trip out to Utah to be with your daughter and family. Good afternoon. Well today is the last day of summer. Its 88* here and feels like it. I've already had the air conditoner on some. Tomorrow is only going to be in the low 80's which I will like. Well we have another grandson. He was born last night around 9:30. He weighed 7 lbs 6 ounces and 21 inches long. They live in Utah now so I have no idea when we will get to go and see them. Makes me sad. This is our oldest daughters baby boy. She was the one we went to go see whenever we had to go to Oklahoma City. I will try and see if I can get some pictures of him posted on here. Hello Pal, welp it sounds like y'all are set for food and that's a very good thing. My pantry has food on one side and junk on the other. I should really clean out the junk side! This house was built with a north facing pantry with a small rectangular windowo as houses were way back then. North facing for the coolest air flow and small window to minimize any sunlight that could hasten spoilage of canned goods. It's been very interesting to me to learn about such things. Well the parmesan wings sure sound good. I bet we could make some in the air fyer too. I hate washing it after frying chicken in it. I had a dentist appt. yesterday for a cleaning. So expensive and I'm glad it's over with! Still need a temporary crown that I'll get next month. I ran in to my former boss there and we had the best visit right there in the lobby, catching up with each other. Hope you don't get any rough weather from the storm. Looks to be mostly rain our weather man said. Happy last day of Summer!

What is your favorite thing to drink? I drink mostly water and love Coconut Water! Every now and then I will drink some milk at home. I love hot tea but rarely make it. I don't drink tea in a restaurant any more but like an Arizona Tea now and then. I love the Cocoringa Moringa Hot Chocolate and it has great nutritious ingredients.
Do you like to go out to eat? I love eating out and love picking up food to bring home. I guess you can tell we do cook but the cooking and cleaning up is not our favorite thing to do.
You can probably tell just by looking at me how much I love to eat. My favorite is meat and potatoes or bacon, egg & tomato sandwich. I may only eat 2 meals a day, but I do make each of the meals really count.

Thursday is here again... already! The week is flying by. So much to do and so little time. Ok, all the time in the world (until the Lord comes anyway).
Time for the fairies to refill my cup. Ok, maybe my fairy is my Hubby, but still time for at least that second cup already. And maybe it is already past 1 pm today because he spoils me and I just don't want to get out of my chair.
Coffee makes the world more colorful, don't you agree? It usually takes more than one cup too.
I don't like it so hot that it melts the cup either. But the view is pretty great most days!

good morning Pal, well the shrimp basket sure sounds yummy. I had been craving fish recently and the girls and I went to a new place last Friday. Well it was new to us anyway and it was the Crafty Crab. i guess they are a big chain, not sure really. My fish was good but the girls got coconut shrimp and they said the texture was weird. Our Sam's is an hour away too, haven't been in ages. Yes it's aggravating you drove that far and they didn't have what you wanted. Haven't been to Costco either as I let my membership exire 2 years ago. As big as my house is I still don't have room to store all the bulk items they sell. I would have stuff piled to the ceiling. lol. Well hope you don't get rain the whole weekend....we have cooler air coming they say if we can wait till the weekend. Guess we don't have a choice, haha!
