Sunday morning blessings to you! A new week is starting for us and I only work 2 days then Jody will be Kelly's full time Business Office Assistant.
Gosh how I will miss talking to our clients each day and I'll miss Kelly a lot too. But I will let it all go until they call me to come in when Jody needs a vacation day to visit her family.
I will still be singing out loud the happiest tune I can find each and every day.
I will have a new voice and a new song to be sung. Oh my, why are people around me covering their ears?
Just because I am singing my heart out and sharing it with the world around me. A new chapter is starting again.
Good Caturday Morning to you! I am peeking in to see what you are doing today! I am watering, imagine that!
The plants are so wilted that there are very few blooms to even smell. We have been 104ยฐ-107ยฐ with heat indexes above 115ยฐ. We no longer have a green yard; it is yellow and the grass is almost dead.
It is best just to stay inside with the air conditioner and just glance outside through the window. Then pull the shades down again.
Don't open the window! The heat will come in and no telling who else! Maybe some nosey neighbor.
Have you seen that new guy with the blue eyes that moved into our neighborhood last week? I think his name is Gus!
I heard him call me a peeping tom just yesterday! Can you imagine? Doesn't he know who he is talking to?
Hi there. I sure hope you are feeling better today. I woke up a few minutes before 5 this morning to it thundering. We didn't get any rain. It would of been nice to get some. But we have a chance for rain tonight and tomorrow. Oh, we don't have anything planned for the weekend. We go up to Tony's moms house and have beans and biscuits for supper, stay there for a few hours, then come home. On Saturday we just rest from the week, and be lazy. Then on Sunday, Tony goes to coffee with some of the guys, and I do laundry and we usually go out to eat on Sunday evening. And that is our usual weekend. I got all my housework done and took a nap so I'm good for the rest of the day. You enjoy the rest of your afternoon and take care. Many hugs to you, Cheryl
Today was a blur. Had a very bad nite so didn't get but a couple hous sleep and my feet felt like fire. Finally got up at 8 and stayed up till 10. Checked to see if I took my pills and I didn't. Took them asap - no wonder my feet were that bad. Went back to bed at 10 and slept till 3. Woke up much better. So nothing great was done today but I did change the bed and warmed up some chicken brocolli alfredo and the tomato salad. We got a short downpour that was welcomed by all the plants and flowers. There were lots of dark clouds all afternoon and then cleard up nice and bright after it rained. Friday is on it's way and then the weekend. Have you any plans Cheryl? It'll be the sme for us - out on Friday nite, rest and house work on Sat. and game nite Sunday. Havee yourself a good time. Hugs, Wendy
Hello Pal, still very hot here and it's rough. I keep getting heat advisories and such on all on my devices. Do you have a pill dispenser for your daily meds? I have one, with the little compartments for AM and PM but sometimes I still forget to take them. Do you have neuropathy in your feet? I have it in one of my feet and it's painful for sure. You mentioned mailing a BD card to your granddaugher. So many Summer birthdays in our family too and our oldest son has one tomorrow. We sent him a gift card for Academy Sports as thats his favorite store. We sure enjoyed our day at the beach with him and his wife las week. I could have stayed there forever. The weather was beautiful and the pool and ocean water was perfect. Hope your weekend is good, Pal. Leaving in a bit to go with the girls for a manicure and lunch. Looking so forward to it too. love n hugs, Beth
Hope you catch up on all your missed sleep, Wendy. I've nothing planned for the weekend, maybe a little retail therapy. Wish you a pleasant weekend! Hugs
Here we go, ready or not, Thursday is here. I work Friday, Monday and Tuesday. I will then be home full time starting Wednesday. Do you have plans to go anywhere or do anything fun?
I think I would enjoy a train ride through the rocky mountains but not sure I would trust most of the train tracks of today.
Now a nice quiet boat ride would be fun but I am not interested in running the rapids any time soon.
I do like water, but I am not a swimmer per say. I like fishing from the bank better than from a boat. I love sitting on a bank and listening to the sounds.
And few people love a good rain with thunder and lightning more than I do. Please Lord, let it rain soon all over the state of Texas. We need blessings!
Hi there Wendy. How are you doing this afternoon? I'm doing good. Not doing much. I need to clean my bathroom from top to bottom. But I don't want to. Want to come and do it for me? Just kidding. Yes, our son doesn't live very far from us. Just a 30 minute drive. I went to Walmart this morning and got the stuff that we needed. Walmart was busy. Lots of people buying stuff for back to school. Lots of schools around here are starting on the 17th. Well I will chat with you again later. Enjoy your afternoon and take care. Hugs, Cheryl
Hi Cheryl Sorry I didn't leave a comment yesterday. it was 90 here today and hot. i stayed in all day and cleaned the second bathroom from top to bottem. That wa the one we were using while our shower wa being remodled and also the flooring. We lve the new shower now tht the doors have been hung - they are plain glass but so pretty. Now that other bathroom is just for guests - if we ever get any anymore. Went to the mens meeting last nite and they had chicken spaghetti, toast, salad, and strawberries and blueberries in juice with thinly sloced red onion. Unsuual but good. They had a lot left over so we took some salad and spaghetti home and had that for dinner tonite along with some of my tomato, cuke and onion salad. Glad you spent some time with your son and his girlfriend - I guess they don't live that far from you as I remember you saying you stopped there on your way home last week. Have a good nite and sleep well. Hugs, Wendy
