Hello Pal, our first day of Summer had a soggy start. Thunder was rumbling as soon as I got out o bed this morning. Yesterday was so nice, we had a whole day of Sun and I didn't even mine the hotter temps. I picked the girls up from VBS and we had lunch at the park in the shade.  I sure enjoyed our little picnic. I did some chicken in the air fryer last night, hubby's fav, but I hate clearning it afterwards.   He got the grass cut yesterday while we had a dry day to do it. I'll send you the Hamburger hash recipe. It's really easy.  Have a good mid week and first day of Summer!

This Tuesday is my last day off this week.  I will be at work for the next three days.  

Last day to check and see which plants need water and other chores around the house.  

Of course that means it is my last day to run errands too.  There is always so much on my list.  

So today I will put on my tap shoes and get after that list of things to do.  Do you have anything special planned?  

Now where is that list and where is the sunshine?  I really do need sunshine and Vitamin D to make it through the rest of the week.

Good morning Pal, hope you are caught up on the sleep you missed. Sounds like you've had some good food at the Lodge. Hubby loves a big breakfast with all the stuff you mentioned but I'm lazy about fixing breakfast. Sat. was very hot here but the clouds and rain moved in and wee are much cooler now.  Already had a storm this morning and we've had watches and warnings it seems like for days now. Not good beach or boating weather, thats for sure, but you still have people tying to do both. Saw on the news a house boat tipping over and sinking in the very rough surf about 80 miles from here. Another boater jumped in and rescued them.  We had a mostly quiet Father's Day weekend. Went to my brother in law's after church yesteray and got some squash from his garden. (ours is gone already) We came home and hubby cleaned up the storm debris in our yard and I made Squash Alabama which is just squash casserole with Ritz Crackers on top. I made a Hamburger hash which he loves and okra from our garden. It seemed like I cooked most of the day. lol.  At least he helped me wash dishes. Hope your new week is good. I'm looknig for the sun to dry us out!

Oh what blessings today brings!  Smiles and thankfulness are at the top of our lists.  

You have the choice to be happy or let something or someone change that for you!  

There is not one of us that doesn't have a mess going on in their life.  I choose to let God help with those things.  

While all of us have problems, all of us also have Blessings.  Choose to concentrate on the good things for which we are thankful everyday.

Are you going camping with the family or just a Father/Son get away?  I hope it isn't too dry to build a fire for Coffee and maybe a cookout.

I hope the dog gets to go too because after all, he is man's best friend.  A father, a child, and a dog together would be a perfect weekend with BBQ of course.
