Hello Pal, sounds like you had a damp, chilly weekend. Ours was cool and pleasant. I'm sure it will be warming up soon. Glad the cane is working out for you. No big plans here today. We got some Applewood chicken sausage to grill and think I'll make some slaw to go with it. Stopped and bought okra and zuchinni otw home from church yesterday and already cooked the okra. Ours will be ready in the garden in a week or 2 but just couldn't wait that long. lol. Found a good price on it too. Meant to tell you about the potato soup....it makes a thick recipe and you can certanly thin it out by adding some exra broth or milk. Sometimes I use half and half or whatever I have on hand. We put bacon crumbles, cheese or green onions on top. You probably won't need to salt it. That cream of chicken soup is salty as it is. Talk to you soon. huggies, Beth
Hi there Wendy. Had a nice day yesterday and went to the cemetaries yesterday and decorated the graves. It always bothers me to decorate my parents graves. Not a day goes by that I don't miss them. Not doing anything today besides laundry and my husband is going to try and get his mower going today so he can mow the yard. Tomorrow evening is our nephews home school graduation fro high school. Glad to hear that you are doing so good in walking. Well I will go for now. I need to go and put more bird seed in the bird feeder. We have lots of little sparrows and finches. More sparrows though and they love the wild bird seed that I feed them. Well take care my friend and enjoy your day. Hugs, Cheryl
Hello Pal, yes the cool temps for this late in May are very different. It feels wonderful though and I'll sure soak it up since we won't get more till October. Well how did the trip to Panera go? Were you able to use the cane okay? I'm sure getting out of the house did you good. The girls came yesterday for lunch and we made tie dye tees. I'll post a pic below. They were keeping my great, great nephew Elijah. He's 4 months old. He's a doll too. The onsesie in the middle of the pic is for him. I made Pasta Salad and Egg Salad and Katelyn helped me make some cheesecake tarts. I will send you the recipe for the Hashbrown Potato soup. Think I got it from Paula Deen originally, back when she had her own show (before cancel culture got rid of her from Food Network) Woke up to 59 degrees this morning and a cool breeze. It almost felt chilly. Have a good holiday weekend!
