Hmmmm.... sounds like the probs I'm having with my PC. Shall return I promise once I get sorted out. Thanks for your your friendship. Huggies, Anne
Hi ya Anne - Hope you have been ok - looking forward to another comment from you as the firt one neverr materialized - it was blank. This is what went on today. Probably boring to you but will give you something else to read. LOL! We had a plumber friend come over to see why the shower is leaking - they fixed it for a while, but told us not to use it for a week. The fix might last 6 days, 6 weeks or 6 months but it realy needs a new shower. I've been telling Rich to get it looked at months ago. Anyway, thank goodness we have a shower tub in the hall bathroom.Always something in a house that takes your money. I just talked to my son, and he had to replace the diswasher as it didn't clean well and the girlfriend got tired of washing dishes by hand. It to be about 12-15 years old, so it was time. We had a nice sunny day with temps in the 70's and no rain till the end of the week. So much work needs to be done around here, I'm thinking of hiring my friend to come clean the house right before I get totally well and having the rugs cleand after that. Have a good rest of the week. Hugs, Wendy
Good afternoon to you. Its a partly cloudy day here and in the low 70's. I've been enjoying the cooler days as usually its already hot by now. Don't even need to run the air conditioner or fans yet. Got some windows and the doors open to let in the fresh air. I hope it isn't to hot for you where ever you live. Not much going on. Went to Walmart this morning and got the few things we needed. Just refilled the bird feeder in the back yard again. I say those birds are little pigs. I hope you are having a good afternoon. Take care and many hugs, Cheryl
Hello Pal, how often does your PT come? It's so nice they come in to your home. My friend had a hip replacement and they came to her home 3x a week I think. Good idea to get the cane, it's nice to help stabilize you somewhat, esp if you don't have the walker with you. Potato soup sounds so good and it's my go-to comfort food. Do you use red potatoes? I have a recipe that cheats and uses frozen counry style hashbrowns. lol. It's super easy and so good, you just throw it all in the crockpot till it's done. I understand about missing the shopping routine, believe me. Grocery shopping seems like a chore till you can't go, then you realize it's not al lthat bad. I had foot surgery in 2016 and was in a cast for 6 weeks with a knee scooter. It was a major ordeal to go anywhere! Consequently I didn't leave home anymore than necessary. The strawberry shortcakes made with the little dessert cup things are so good, glad you were able to make some. I made some mini berry/ cheesecake tarts last week when the kids visited. I bought the small graham cracker crusts and they were so good. It's a dry, cool day here and it's lovely. Well, it's COOL-ER I shoudl say. 80s are better than 90s for high temps! Should be a nice weekend too. Talk to you soon. Take care!
Hello Pal, no rain to speak of here since Monday. Just cloudy and kinda humid. Supposed to be a pleasant holiday weekend, weather wise. THat will be nice for all the beach goers and barbequers. We might grill out some chicken or something. My son brought a huge smoked Brisket when he visited last week. It was so good. That's something he learned to love when he lived in Texas. Yesterday was busy with errands to the vet for pet meds and took my dog to be groomed and made a trip to the grocery store. I need to stay out of there, they seem to get all my money. lol. Had to laugh about your son's gf and the dishwasher. Can you believe I've NEVER owned one! So I'm really tired of hand washing them. I'd love to have one but this old house isn't set up for such modern appliances...my washer and dryer is outside in a utility shed. Our ancestors could never have anticipated how much electricity we'd need one day. They built homes in FL to make the most of the breeze and the winter cooler temps, with FL being so hot most of the time. Hope you made it to the market for berries or you will be able to soon. Almost time for the blueberries to be ready here. That seems to be the biggest crop around here, except for tomatoes, peanuts and cotton. Hope your mid week is good. love n hugs, Beth
Wednesday is the middle of the week and a wonderful day for a day off. Woo Hoo! Yippee Yahoo!
And with just a little help from my friends, it will be a GREAT day, if I don't look at my "todo" list, that is.
All my true friends know me through and through that what they see is what they get and I will always be there for them.
Just call my name and I'll be there. ROAR! Here I come! Move outta the way.
But if I am having trouble getting there, don't forget to call on Jesus. He is always there to help each one of us at all times. I do send you lots of Blessings and Hugs each and every day too. I sure do enjoy your daily posts to me and love sharing the cute graphics with my granddaughters.
Overall, it sounds like you are doing real good. I am impressed. Today is my day off. Don't know how long it will last... still to be determined.

Hi Pam - I got up early to have PT at 10:30. She said I should try to use a cane and I haven't been with a walker for 2 weeks. Later we went to get strawberries. Couldn't find the place but finally when we did they were out of berries. A lady who was there ready to pay for the ones she picked, gave us hers, as she probably knew we couldn't go pick. You know she only picked the best ones and they were all huge. I have to admit they were really good but not as good as Jersey berries. I made strawbery shortcakes for dessert but the cakes didn't come out as I guess the Bisquik was too old as they didn't rise. I ate one but I'll throw the rest away - Rich ate one by itself as I nodded out on the couch. I didn't even see the end of Jepardy when the masters were playing. But there are more games to be played and I'll be awake to see them. The lady from PT said I was getting PT at home cause I was home bound. Guess that meant I wasn't supposed to go out of the house for anything. But that's not what I gathered from the doctor when he gave me a choice. I can't really go out anywhere anyway except if I go out to the Moose on Friday nites which I haven't. Haven't even gone to play dominoes. Rich made perogies for dinner with sauteed onions seasoned with lots of herbs. Might have hots dogs and potatoes tomorrow nite. How long are you gonna work Pam? Didn't know it was gonna be full time. Well hang in there and make sure you get your coffee as you walk out the door! Hugs, Wendy
