Hi there. I hope you are having a good afternoon. Its a warm and breezy one here. I had a good weekend but it always seems to go by to fast. Not doing much here today. Just taking it easy. Enjoy the rest of your day my friend and take care. Hugs, Cheryl
Hello Pal, do you know yet when the hip surgery will be? I know you will feel better after it's all over with Probably looking at the same myself, in a few years. I've had hip pain for a long time. My friend had the surgery and recovered much quicker than I expected. Hope your weekend was good. We had sun for ours and it sure was nice after all the clouds and rain last week. Fri. was lunch and shopping wtih the girls. Mostly we were birthday shopping for Lily who turned 14. Her party was Sat. and it was a Harry Potter party outside at a park so very thankful the weather cooperated. Next week hubby will probably get the potatoes planted as Val day is the day to do it. Hope your day is good! hugs from me, Beth
What a difference sunshine makes... 24 little hours... SING it all day long now! But isn't it the truth!
I thought I was going to have to pack up Teddy and find a new place to move or at least visit for a while. You know, someplace warm with lots of sunshine!
I was looking for a warm beach with LOTS of sunshine. But I needed the Longhorn channel on TV because today is College BASEBALL at noon! It is just the Alumni game but I am so excited. Then in less than 2 weeks there will be 3 days of Longhorn Baseball games in DFW at Globe Life Field.
I'll leave you with Peace on the Beach this Saturday as Spring is surely on the way soon.
Hi there. Its a nice 60* here but a bit breezy. But at least the sun is shining. I hope you are having a good Friday and will enjoy your weekend. I must go and get my clothes out of the dryer and put them away. Take care my friend. Many hugs to you, Cheryl
What a difference the sunshine makes! As you can see the ice is beginning and I say beginning to melt as our temperature is only 35 mid morning today.
Yesterday evening and so far today have been the worst on the road in the DFW area, with most accidents, many fatalities, and most delays. People were lured into believing that the roads were clear along with many people having cabin fever! They got out and drove at high speeds and then hit patches of ice. Some drivers would come upon 18 wheelers that were stopped trying to get up a hill or over an overpass. So if your package is delayed, it might be in Dallas waiting for an airplane to take off or on a big truck still here.
Everything is in God's timing and since he skipped over me when he was giving out patience... I am having a hard time waiting for Spring and even the warmer temperatures next week. Guess I will go bake some blueberry muffins.
Happy Groundhog Day! Our Punxatauny Phil says we'll have 6 more weeks of winter. That may hold in Jersey, Pa and new england, but I don't think he holds that accountablity down here. Have a good month and hope you get an early spring. Hugs, Wendy
Good afternoon to you my friend. Its a lovely sunny and 50* here. The days are just going to get warmer each day. I went and saw our son and his girlfriend this morning and then went out to eat with them. Then after that I stopped at Walmart and got a few things that we needed before I came home. I took a much needed nap after I put away the groceries. I was beginning to get a headache for some reason. Well enough of my chit chat. I will talk to you later. Stay warm and safe and take care. Many hugs from me to you, Cheryl
Oh my! I am so ready to get in the car and go somewhere. Now I can stay at home for a week, easily, unless I know I can't get out; then I get claustrophobic.
We have been at 33° for about 6 hours now and the roads are trying to clear but it is not warm enough to completely rid them of slick icy spots.
The ice may be beautiful to look at but it is so damaging to the trees and to the electric lines in our area. We are blessed to still have our electricity on.
And with all the ice melting there is no going for a stroll with a river running through the backyard and mushy ground everywhere. Maybe tomorrow I can run away! Nice page Wendy!!!
Hey Pal, what is the surgery you mentioned for? Is this what we were talking about with the shot you get in your eye or something else? I guess I missed it somehow. It's been a crazy busy week for me. I'm not used to this much activity. haha!
Phil saw his shadow but that doesn't mean much down here in FL. Still warm and foggy. Fifth straight day of this and i'm so ready for the sun to return. Have a good Thursday!
