We too were about the same temperature as you... between 27 & 30 to start this morning,  That is too cold for Texas at this time of year.  That is late January and mid February weather.  BRRR

Welcome to the first day of November this Wednesday!  We have had quite a change.  

We skipped right over Fall and went to an early SURPRISE winter.  But warmer temperatures will be back and I hope real soon.  

However, the second half of October did end our drought.  We ended up with 8.2" of rain Between 6 pm on Thursday and 6 am on Monday.  

Our leaves all fell off the trees before they could even change colors this year.

I don't know if I can go out tonight after all.  I mean, it is COLD in Texas!  

I have been sitting in front of this computer for too long getting this message ready for today.  

I am going to need a nice hot bath to warm up after this change in temperatures.  

But do you know what happened the last time I took a bath in the tub?  

I didn't mine the weight I lost but I lost part of myself and part of my name.   It will be 28° tonight, I hope the brooms don't freeze up!

HERE IS REAL WINDY BUT THE SUN TRYING TO COME OUT.

NOT DOING MUCH TODAY WILL LISTEN TO THE HORSE RACING THEN NEXT WEEKEND THEY DRAW THE HORSE OUT FOR THE MELBOURN CUPON TUESDAY 7TH NOV THAT IS WHERE THE WHOLE NATIONS STOPS TO SEE THIS RACE.

I PUT AWAY A BOX OF MY MEDS AND THAT IS GONE ALSO THE ONES ON MY COFFEE TABLE NOW I HAVE NO MEDS TO TAKE AS THEY TELL ME A SHORTAGE LIKE I HAVE TOLD ALL MY MATES SOMEONE COMES IN MY HOUSE TAKES THINGS ALL THE TIME AND IM NOT GOING TO KEEP CHANGING MY LOCKS I HAVE DONE THAT 3 TIMES IN THE END ALL WILL GET WHAT THEY DESERFE

So cute!

We made it to Friday once again.  Rain has been here and gone.  But it is supposed to come back again.  Now what?  

On Wednesday, we spent over 4 hours moving plants.  They all got a good drink of water and are now ready for the plastic to go over them.  We are expecting 3 nights of temperatures in the 30's.  

A picture from years past of the plastic pulled back in winter so they can get sunshine.  WE have lots of plants, ok I do, in pots scattered around the front and backyard; lots of hanging baskets everywhere in the back.  

This is what it looks like, again from years past, on a cold winter night.  Lights are on and the heater is going.  

All the plants in tubs, big plastic tubs, got moved to the front.  They will go in the garage when temperatures drop with a heater turned on.  

Just in case you were wondering... yes, I have plants inside too.  This is the only window in the house that does NOT have a solar screen so the plants can get light.  I have a plant or two in about 3 other locations inside the house.
