Well, Monday has rolled around again, so let's make the most of it. I wanted to share our weekend pictures.
Before and After
And that was the easy part! We don't have bulk pickup in the City of Fate... so we have to cut brush up in a 3x3x3 bundle. We are only allowed 4 bundles a week and we have about 10 from one tree. That is why we paid someone to haul off the green bundles from the tree that blew over. And extra bags of grass cuttings from spring & fall when we use the bagger is the same way as they only allow one extra bag on top of trash can and one to the side.
Hubby is washing cars today. We wanted to mow this morning but the grass was way too wet and it wasn't even dry enough by 10 am. So on to other projects. Made fresh hummingbird food since I have seen a hummer at the feeder. Also got orchids and Christmas cactus watered with ice cubes. So how is your week shaping up?
Good day my friend and wishing you a very happy weekend to enjoy. Prayers the severe storms have spared you from the severe damage that has occurred in some areas. Stay safe and have a great new week.....George
Oh to have this much energy again! We really wanted to trim some trees today; however, the ground is sooooo wet that the ladder would sink to the center of the earth. Instead...
I'll give you a Big Friday Hug! And I will send lots of Blessings your way because your friendship always puts a smile on my face and is a blessing to me.
Now I'm heading outside to see what I can get into because staying inside and paying bills just seems like no fun when the sun is shining brightly on my orchids.
I do believe I am in pink mood today for some reason. Puts a smile on my face and I hope it does this to you also. Doing my Friday daily duties as I have a joy in my heart.
May you have a nice day doing this and that also. I do believe I need a refill in my coffee cup and or tea for I do like both of them during the day. Smiles Gloria

So a man shows up, Johnny, with a huge machine, a stump grinder. After it was unloaded, it only took between 15-25 minutes and the stump was mulch, dirt and all.
So now that this job is finished, I guess you know where the bodies are hidden. We still have 3 or 4 Juniper trees to trim and a large crepe myrtle to trim. Our work is never completely done.
But the timing couldn't have been better. Rain started yesterday evening. Then last night we had 3 different thunderstorms come through at midnight, 1 am and 3 am. We ended up Monday evening with 1" and this morning with 2". Once again, we were blessed as others in the DFW area, Dallas - Ft. Worth, had tornado sirens go off and some got hail from pea size to golf ball size and larger.
Showers bring flowers! The BlueBonnets are starting to "pop". The sun came out earlier but we now have big, white, puffy clouds everywhere. Looking forward to the upper 70's for a couple of days. Can't wait to hear what you have been doing!
