I am at the moment having some Green Mountain seasonal Maple Pecan flavored coffee to make my day abit more special. I believe I need to head to the store and find some of the maple cookies to go along with the coffee. I can taste them right now , one of my favorite cookies as fall comes in and shows it beauty. Have you een getting out and back to normal yet? All is going well here in North Carolna. It's been a hot summer but thankfully the AC has been working just fine - haven't turned it off yet as today was 90 and muggy. Got a thunderstorm this evening and cooled things off and gave the plants a much needed drink of water. Also made the froggies very happy as they are singing their heads off. This is such a pretty time of the year with cooler weather but still summer for a little while. It has to be one of my favorite months. Have a good rest of the week and as always, take care. With fall in the air and back to cooler days and nights I just had to brew up some New England Coffee flavored caramel apple to brighten up ones day even more than it is now.

I do like to take the day easy when one has these warm days off and on during the summer I do believe this will be a day to just enjoy the next chapter in a book and sit back and drink my tea's. Hi Mona - how has your summer been so far? I hope it's been a good one with good weather. It's been a good summer here and we've had some hot days but nothing like last year. We've had a lot of rain especially the last several days. The last rain we had flooded the streets so bad it looked like we lived on a houseboat. Haven't been anywhere except local - to the post (VFW) on Friday nites with our friends and there for BBQ's and other events. An oyster roast is coming up in a few months - thank goodness they have chicken also as neither one of us eat oysters. It's usually a nice day with music, a bake sale and flower sale which all proceeds go to the auxillary and held outside with 'to go' orders also. I go to the auxillary meetings once a month but also go with honey on his meeting nites with our friends. Other than that we just are here locally - nothing has changed our habits. This darn Delta strain of Covid is just gonna tank the economy as it's just starting to get back to normal - so we are going backwards again. Such a same and looks like we'll be having to wear masks everywhere too. Hope you've been doing well and having a greet summer. Take care and catch me up on your summer doings. I am really starting to think about fall. This morning I just had to have some caramel pumpkin flavored coffee from the New England coffee blends. Ever so smooth and tasty. Now where is my pumpkin muffin? Opps forgot to make some. I will need to do that one of these days and or pumpkin scones. In the mean time I am having some lemon scones with my coffee on this summer day.
Inbetween the household duties I am having fun putting a puzzle together just for the fun of it to make my day more pleasant. May you find happiness with your moments today. Smiles Gloria
