Some of my favorite movies are; Fried Green Tomatoes,Sleepless In Seattle,You've Got Mail;Shop Around The Corner;Laura;The Greatest Show On Earth;Until They Sail;The Lonesome Dove,The Best Years of Our Lives;Casablanca.
Some of these go back to the black/white movies of the 40's.

Jazz,Pop,Easy Listening,Soft Rock, Doo Wop and Blues. Some Classical and Country, Gospel. I do not like Rap, Hard Rock, Hip Hop, Punk, etc...
I tend to go with the "Oldies", although I like a lot of the music of today. If I hear a song I like I don't know who the artist is or the name of the song. There are so many artists today and some of them are not really that good! (my opinion only)

Mysteries,Historicals about Families. Some of my favorite authors are; Fern Michaels,Stuart Woods,Barbara Delinski,Belva Plain,Sue Grafton, Nora Roberts.

Homestyle cooking. I like most all foods but I don't like brussel sprouts.
Southern Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Turkey/Dressing, Country Ham, Red Eye Gravy,Green Beans, Green Lima Beans, Biscuits/Gravy and I could go on and on. My mom could make the best fried chicken I have ever eaten. Like a lot of moms, I expect, who were great cooks.

The 40's and 50's are the most memorable time of my life. Those are the years that I grew up and they made a lasting impression that has stayed with me throughout my lifetime..

Still Standing
I was born in Kentucky and have lived here for the most of my life. I had one sibling. She and my oldest grandson were both diagnosed with cancer about a month apart in 2002.She passed in 2003 and he in 2004.
My father died when I was 9. My mom passed away in '96. I have one daughter;son-in-law and 2 grandchildren(living), one niece and two nephews and one g-nephew. Several cousins and two aunts still living..
I have worked as a Payroll Clerk, Receptionist, Inventory Control Clerk, Microphotographer, Clerk Typist, Secretary. My last job was in the Nursing Dept of a Long Term Care Facility. I was Secretary/Timekeeper, Gal Friday assistant to the DON.

Autumn is my favorite time of the year, when leaves turn color, a little nip is in the air and the sky is a magnificient color of blue.
I like to hear rain falling, the smell of fresh cut grass. I grew up on a farm and in the fall of the year I find myself yearning for those days gone by.
I like to get together with old friends (from school days) and friends that I have made through the years.
Talking with family and friends on the phone, using the computer to stay in touch and also to learn things.
Reading is one of my favorite past times.I also like to watch TV.

I don't like people who are rude,controlling,who elaborate or fabricate,bullies,phonies,people who use foul/vulgar language. R-movies,violent movies.
Tornadoes, ice storms, really hot or cold weather. Dirty restaurants,dirty restrooms.
What I particularly don't like is people who litter!! It infuriates me to drive the roads and see all that garbage on the wayside..
