WHAT I LIKE
I like people. I like the snow in the winter, the bunnies in the spring, the birds in the summer and the trees in the Fall.

My daughter in law and I pulling tumble weeds out of our bushes.

There isn't much I don't like. Seems the older I get the more there is to like.

NOTE UPDATE MAY 1ST: We are in possible negotiations for sale of the site to Boomers. With this being said, please remove any personal information you may not want accessed. We are extending one week out to the 2nd weel of May to give everyone time to do this if you want to.

We’re sorry to share that NotOverTheHill will be closing at the end of this month after over 15 years of service. The software that powers the site is no longer something we can update or securely host, and unfortunately, that means it’s time to say goodbye.

We want to give all of our loyal and longtime users time to download or screenshot any memories you'd like to keep. It’s also a good time to reconnect with friends you’ve regularly interacted with—whether by sharing an email address or finding another way to stay in touch.

For privacy, we recommend creating a secondary Gmail account to share with others. You can set it up to forward messages to your main email so you don’t have to check two inboxes.

A truly heartfelt thank you to Altara for the time, care, and dedication she’s poured into NotOverTheHill. Her steady presence, behind-the-scenes work, and constant support for our members have meant more than words can say. I am with you and within you, doing good things in your life. Even when you’re not aware that I am with you, the Light of My Presence keeps shining brightly on you. 




When we open to signs from our loved ones who have gone before us, we awaken our spirits to the mystery and majesty of the unseen world.

 

SIGNS

 

Signs are like holy guideposts - silent messages of love.

 

They are beacons that light our way.

 

Encouragement that lifts us in our uncertainty.

 

They appear in the midst of ordinary days in the guise of a butterfly, a song, a cardinal, a special number, a penny, a rainbow or a mere flash that catches our eye.

 

How do we know it's a sign from a loved one? We feel it. We just know.




Jesus wanted them to understand that it wasn’t the time for mourning or confusion. The Messiah was alive! God’s plan of salvation had been accomplished! Death had been conquered! Centuries of prophecy and promises had been fulfilled!

We are never alone in life. That’s the message we see from Genesis to Revelation. Jesus has always been there. He appeared to Abraham and Jacob, among others. He was never far from the minds of the Old Testament prophets. And to those who are His disciples, He says, “I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20 NLT).
