ABOUT ME
It has been a pleasure to make so many nice friends here on “The Hill”. A few chose to leave and I was sorry to see them go. Some we lost forever and although we were online friends only, sadness was felt. Others have not visited the site for health reasons, etc. for long periods of time including myself.
I love the song “Auld Lang Syne”, but it also makes me feel like crying as I think about all the people who have passed through my life over the years. Some are gone and some I am no longer in contact with - some have been friends and a part of my life for 60+ years.
Hopefully the New Year will bring stability to our country’s woes and our country will be safer, healthier, economically sound, jobs will be plentiful and everyone who wants to work can.
May God’s blessings be yours and the coming year bring forth Health, Happiness, and Prosperity to all…May 2022 be our best year ever!!
Jean
I'm a born Kentuckian and have lived here my entire life except for 4+ years in Indianapolis, IN during the WWII years. My Mom worked at Curtiss-Wright during that time and after the war ended we moved back to KY in time for me to start my first year of school.
I had one sibling, my older sister Virginia who passed away in 2003 from cancer. I lost my oldest grandson in 2004 to cancer
WHAT I LIKE
I like the Autumn Season best of all when the sky is such a beautiful blue color and the trees begin to turn to all the beautiful hues that announce fall is here.
I will have to say though this year has turned turned out to be one weird time to live through...
No get togethers with friends like usual which I have really missed.
So I'm hoping before the year ends there will be a remedy in place for this pandemic which has robbed us all of so many loved ones and other enjoyments such as getting together with family and friends, getting out to go shopping and numerous other daily acts we usually enjoy.
WHAT I DON'T LIKE
Ice storms, tornadoes, litterers, prevaricators just to name a few things.
