Circles and cycles
Posted On 10/23/2008 16:54:44 by Thundercloud
With the crackle of leaves under my footsteps a haunting harbinger of the cold, dreary, days ahead and the billowy, pristine clouds floating weightlessly in the crystal blue skies of October, I am reminded, once again, of a summer too-soon past. The extended autumn-winter cusp brings with it a restlessness I cannot shake and a compelling desire for reflection that I cannot ignore.

More than any other change of season, autumn appears dazed and confus... Read More

Learning from History

Learning from History   "I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. The autumnal arch, that celestial celebration of color and change, is drawing near. The cosmic river of time flows forward and empties into that invisible sea; a sea black and deep and unknowable, filled with every soul that has ever took breath upon this earth. Uncountable souls sail the invisible sea; no one escapes it, no one can avoid it. We will all be sailors on that sea and not one of us know when our ship is set to sail.

The solstice of summer far behind us, the solstice of winter... Read More

Real friends help you hide the body ...
Posted On 09/06/2008 06:20:38 by JLWilson
... no, I didn't kill anyone, but being forced to watch Sarah Palin every time I turned on the TV, I was tempted. The good thing about being an author is I can kill off a character like her in a book, and you just might see that sometime soon. No, a real friend helps you figure out your plots. I was a bit stalled on my book. I didn't have a clear motive for the crime. Without motive, I don't know WhoDunIt. My critique partner and I met on Thursday, as usual, and I mentioned I was a bit stalled.... Read More
